CAUSE OF GIRL'S DEATH COULD REMAIN MYSTERY
Police say they may never know how Danielle van Dam died, or when. The seven-year-old girl disappeared from her San Diego home February first. Authorities are now confirming that a child's body found by volunteer searchers Wednesday is that of the missing child. The district attorney says an autopsy performed confirmed her identity yesterday. The identification was made through dental records because of the condition of the body. Medical examiners are trying to determine the cause of death, but Police Chief Dave Bejerano says it's possible that we'll never know how, or when she was killed. A neighbor has been charged with kidnapping and murdering her. Authorities say they found the girl's blood on his clothing and in his motor home. He has pleaded innocent. |
As a note according to this site if a body is found within 30 days it can be pinpointed whether the body was moved and time of death within a few hours.( a little gory)..regards...
Murder Investigation techniques
Interesting case here:
America's Most Wanted was filmed before the confirmation of Danielle's body being found. The smirk on Damon Van Dam's face was chilling. My hair stood up on my arm. Their timelines were much different than heard before. Many folks did not realize that Brenda had met Westerfield the weekend before Danielle's abduction. Isn't that a bit strange.
The "smoker" theory is also news to me. What is that all about. This story has more twists and turns !
Now it is all about donating to the fund. If it was for funeral costs then no problem with that. When it's said like it was it sounds shady!
Memorial for Danielle
SAN DIEGO, CA - People continue to visit and pay tribute at the site were seven year old Danielle van Dam's body was found. Balloons and flowers cover the ground near the oak tree. The memorial reflects the feelings of millions touched by a very special little girl. |
If I were Danielle's father, and I had even the slightest inkling that David Westerfield had killed my daughter, he would be dead and I would be on trial for his murder.
[And if I were Fred Goldman, O.J. would have been dead in June of 1994.]
I doubt if it got watered or changed from one guy to another to me. Besides, it wasn't full of details and juicy things; just that they lived this lifestyle.
Yes ---it's just interesting --the "who done it" stuff. Like watching a Columbo show.
OTOH that the van Dams also said that Danielle "sleep-walked"...
If Danielle sleep walked, was there a gate across the top of the stairs?
Or is this a possible defense to a charge that the van Dams may give her sleep medicene?
Is there evidence in Danielle's medical record that she sleep-walked?
Sleepwalking usually occurs in a partly awakened subject, usually a child. Sleepwalking can be initiated by worry or tension. Sleepwalkers usually don't remember their activities.
Perhaps the noises in the garage awakened young Danielle, and the commonly agreed on explaination given by the van Dams was that she sleepwalked. However, swinging guests concerned for their privacy may have suggested to the van Dams another course of action:
Like I said before, if Weseterfield obtained information that the children, and in particular Danielle, was drugged on party nights,
They sure look new. This is so sick !!!!! I would be so offended if it were my loved one.
I'm sorry......I think it is more ghoulish than it is respectful.
It's troubling to hear the PD say they may never know what killed Danielle. I would hope that if Westerfield did it, he would confess the circumstances. Especially if the deck was stacked against him, and it was proven beyond a resonable doubt he was the perp.
Maybe it's naive on my part, but I think if Westerfield killed the child, he will eventually come clean. Obviously, the SDPD thinks differently...not even hoping for a full confession is throwing in the towell too soon, IMHO.

Just guessing, but I think it is Law Enforcement Officer. From another Virgo
