CAUSE OF GIRL'S DEATH COULD REMAIN MYSTERY

Police say they may never know how Danielle van Dam died, or when. The seven-year-old girl disappeared from her San Diego home February first. Authorities are now confirming that a child's body found by volunteer searchers Wednesday is that of the missing child. The district attorney says an autopsy performed confirmed her identity yesterday. The identification was made through dental records because of the condition of the body. Medical examiners are trying to determine the cause of death, but Police Chief Dave Bejerano says it's possible that we'll never know how, or when she was killed. A neighbor has been charged with kidnapping and murdering her. Authorities say they found the girl's blood on his clothing and in his motor home. He has pleaded innocent.

Plus he didn't leave until the next morning. How did he know it would take until 9:00 am for the VDs to discover Danielle missing? What if LE had started scouring the neighborhood at 6:00 am? Pretty big risk taking on his part, IMO.

You still have not given a good reason why they have to admit it to the public, if it is true, and the cops know about it that is all that matters. Fortunately, in this country, people still do have a right to privacy. In this case the focus was on finding their child, not the pubic knowing about their sex life.

Well, yes they do and here's why:
The VD's have involved everyone of us. IF they are swingers and they had invited many people in their house, (notice I didn't say home) then they opened up their home to be scutinized by strangers.

Then, we could rest a little easier knowing that the Van Dams are at least partially to blame for this and that there won't be a pervert prowling our neighborhood looking to abduct our little girls.

Thanks for the articles on post #430. There are a couple of things being discussed that do not coincide with my personal experience of these situations.

#1) This is primarily a crime of upper class white males. Absolutely not. It occurs in every financial bracket, culture, and race. It MAY be reported more frequently among certain populations (whites,Hispanics) due to cultural factors.

#2) It is impossible that an individual would be a collector of child porn and not act on it. What's the point? Attraction and arousal. That has to be acted on at some point. This urge is impossible to suppress. Witness the recidivism rate and inability to rehabilitate sexual offenders. Even with professional help they lapse.

#3) No pedophile gets to the age of 50 without acting on their desires. Yes the problem usually begins in adolescence but it becomes so overwhelming that it is acted on eventually. All pedophiles have been molested themselves. Established psychiatric fact. Now, many/most people who have been molested DO NOT go on to molest others and some become protecters of children, but a small percentage of abuse victims do abuse others. This small percentage grows up to be the serial sexual offender and the behavior starts early.

Yeah, but the money still has to be there, if for nothing else but to pay the huge credit card load and the mortgage. When you start looking at family trips to Italy and the likes, you're talking about an income far above what his job description pulls in.

Thanks. I didn't know if him leaving at 9:00 was just what he said or if neighbors had actually seen him leaving then. They noticed her missing around nine right? What time was LE called?

Simply put, he left he didn't leave until 0900 because he didn't know the body was there. I firmly believe that DW has been framed by the real perps.

Opportunity to frame came when DW was not at home while he was at Dad's. Who was in the RV?

Possible DNA evidence could have been placed in the RV and upon DW while he was having fun at Dad's?

Why has no one come forth stating what they saw while they were at Dad's?

Why did BVD deny dancing with him or even knowing him that well?

The first discrepancy publicly stated between the two of them was over the matter of dancing with each other at Dad's.

Danielle's death could have been a simple as an "embarrassing accident" at home while in the care of her father. Someone saw the chance to finally get rid of a neighbor that possibly had cramped thier style.
