Tonight, I am separated, and now I'm truly alone.
New Horizon | 02/27/2002 | New Horizon

Posted on 02/27/2002 4:33:04 PM PST by New Horizon

I posted a thread last night entitled:

Tonight, I am officially separated.

I am frightened, I have no family, I am alone...I have nobody but you guys to turn to. I received much valuable advice from fellow FReepers, which I expected. Why else would I post that type of "vanity"?

For some reason, my thread was pulled. Thank God I can salvage at least some of the intelligent replies were via FReepMail. Unfortunately, I never made it through the entire thread. I believe it was a good thread, for more than just my own selfish interests.

If I was rich (which is unlikely now) I would contribute to a forum like this. I'm not. I won't be.

If this thread is pulled, consider it my "opus".

"Did you fail a drug test, too?"

I don't know what you are trying to talk about.

"Sweet are the uses of adversity." You learn that only by painful experience. Your life can be better than it was. Never give up on yourself. And don't make any tragic mistakes, that will have long-term evil consequences, because of current pain. You don't at this time know the good the future holds. FReegards

I did alright with simple green as the carpet cleaner, though it wasn't steam cleaning.

Have a little Yorkie and you can't totally house train them until after they are a least 9 months.

Cleaned up real well and simple green is cheap as well.

BTW, the "puppies" are part of the overall problem...three Dacshunds and a German Shepherd. When the cold months roll around, they get "lazy", and don't like to do their business outside, but on my floors, rugs, etc. My once beautiful house smells of dacshund piss. Try living like that for a few years. It adds to the overall problem. I'm not a slob, and I don't think "normal" people like to live like this. I won't. Not anymore.

Is this a joke? You are blaming the dogs?! Four dogs with 'incontinence', hello! It's not the dogs who are lazy. OMG, no wonder she left. I feel bad about your broken down marriage and all but for God's sake start by cleaning the house and letting those dogs know who's boss. If you can't take charge of your pets how can you expect to be the head of a family? Take a good look and the mirror, face reality, deal with it, and Godspeed.

I'm so glad you posted again. But it is weird. The original posts are back in my self-search file. I wrote to Jim and asked for an explanation why this thread was pulled, but I don't know if that had anything to do with the thread coming back.

At any rate, my last bit of advice for you was to seek out other people who have gone through what you're going through now. Become familiar with the stages of grieving and recovery...become an expert in family law and prepare yourself to see the worst side of your wife once the child custody arrangements come into play. Most of this help can be found online. If you'd like me to post a few of the websites that I posted before, let me know. You are worthwhile and capable of wholeness with or without a partner. Many people find true happiness for the first time after divorce, when their buckets are not constantly being drained because the one they love keeps pulling the plug! Best wishes to you. And prayers.

Where are you? Are you OK?
We have not heard from you all evening, after you said that you are on the computer all the time.
Where are the children, and is your wife home tonight?
Hope all is well......we do care about you!

I'm sure it does. My self search didn't show any posts or replies to 1st thread this afternoon, now they are all there.

I know this doesn't help New Horizon but he seems content to be a "victim" if he doesn't have a lawyer by now.

Get rid of the Dachies, keep the GSD, buy a case of Nature's Miracle and SOAK the carpet. You can also get a syringe and inject the stuff into the padding. It'll take a couple of weeks, but it will completely destroy all the urine. Cleaning the carpet won't do that.

Bingo. If my cats know that I'm boss, then anybody's dogs should catch the clue. Presuming it's there.

When your pets know that they rule the roost, you can expect them to rule it their way. And guess what? When you rule the roost, not only is your life happier, but your pets will be happier too. (Unless you "rule" it like a clymer by abusing them, but that's not topical for this thread.)

The best way to rebound is to head for the supermarket and start hound-dogging for somebody new. Preferrably somebody real young. The best time to go is right before dinner time, like around 5:15. If you look in the carts you can usually pick out the babes who are single. Look for diet Pepsi, microwave popcorn, 'lean cuisine' dinners, gourmet cat food, that kind of crap. Better yet, hang around the 'hot foods' section and see who picks up dinner for one. 'Hot foods' is a good place to strike up a converstaion, too. "Boy, don't that bean soup smell good?", is a good ice-breaker.
Good luck, and happy hunting!

Florida's a "no-fault" divorce state, so the judge didn't hear any of the financial history of that union.

Yet another reason why no-fault divorce is unconstituional by it's very application. The most vile criminal has more rights than the spouse who has been filed against in a no-fault action.

We're trying to get it overturned here in Texas by having the Texas Surpreme Court hear the Waite Appeal. They have refused to hear it once and we have been trying to get a letter writing campaign to the TX Supreme Court to get it heard.

Anyone interested in the details can freep-mail me.

God Bless, Horizon. Hang in there. We each have different ways of coping with this. I did my legal homework and demanded my right to a jury trial. Hubby was not granted his divorce at the trial in December 2001. I have filed suit against the whore he ran off with and that goes to court in July. If she wants to continue to sleep with someone else's husband, it's gonna cost her.

I see he's in Michigan. Oy vey. Whether she's got a lawyer or not, he's basically screwed if he doesn't get one, because he's got the lovely "Friend of the Court" abomination ready set to go on his ass like the hounds of hell. They'll destroy him even if his angelic X2B wants no part of it.

He'd better get off the pity-party and start setting his ducks in a row or he's dead meat. The FoC takes no prisoners!

You can't control what happens to you in life. All you can control is how you respond.

You have 100% control in how you make your choices to respond.
