Breaking on CNN, he had a "miltary type" explosive, LAX evacuated.

Who in the name of Holy Moly would ever try to smuggle explosives through the one place in the entire country where they are actively looking for people smuggling explosives?!?Lets just be thankful that these people don't posess the common sense that God saw fit to bestow on a sack of grapefruit.

Or as dumb as voluntarily allowing a policeman to search your vechicle knowing you have contraband in it. But it happens all the time.Of course refusing to allow them to search the car is probable cause enough for them to impound it and THEN get a search warrent on such grounds.

Guess he thought the law against explosives didn't apply to himself-- If it was inert, then it wasn't an explosive. Hopefully they won't hold the guy. I can see taking him into custody until the inertness was determined, but after that, what would be the charge?
