Thank you for this. I took a long break from FR because I was so tired of seeing this forum bashing the Republicans just as much as the liberal forums do.
As a conservative, I hope that we can all work together to defeat the real enemy, the socialist liberals who will destroy our nation if they are allowed to gain power again.
I appreciate the effort by Jim and the staff to redirect this forum to its original objective.

are a waste of bandwidth, and Mr

IMHO, duplicates SEPARATE the replies from one another and FULL participation in the debate is spread across the dual (or triple...) posts and the effect is then diluted.

It would seem to me that instead of deleteing any extra post on the same subject, they could somehow be merged together. It may add a bit of work for the moderators, but it would save MUCH more for responders.

What if we made the author's name a keyword for each post? That way, a keyword search of the name would reveal the prior post. Or would this screw up the whole keyword concept?
