Wanna save yourself lots of money, guys? Abortion is cheap compared to raising a kid. Who cares that women who have abortions are more likely to get breast cancer later in life? www.AbortionBreastCancer.com Read about the ABC Link.

So this is the price that has to be paid so men can get their piece-o-butt and prove their manhood. I wonder if this is how God is going to punish men.

A 1998 survey conducted by the liberal Guttmacher Institute of 1,900 women who were seeking abortions found that number one reason for their choice was either that they couldn't afford it or were unready for the responsibility

THEN WHY JUMP INTO THE SACK TO BEGIN WITH????

I am not surprised that men pressure women to have abortions, as in my case, it was 'have an abortion or I kick you out'. I opted for getting kicked out, happened to be Christmas Eve in a Maine blizzard. I did not leave a forwarding address. He found me anyways, lasted past literally being kicked off my doorstep, buying a house and is the proudest most affectionate father a child could hope for. Not all cases turn out like mine, but even if he didn't search me out, I had plans which included giving birth to my now 2 yr old daughter who is definately a blessing. Women need more encouragement to be principled. They need strentgh to do what is right rather than unattached 'whatever you want, but it would be easier if...' As far as costs for having a child: yeah, right, hospitals have free services if you fill out paperwork, organizations give you all the diapers, formula and clothes you can need and healthcare for the infant is free with Medicare or medicaid(if you don't mind invasion of privacy or the fact that the money was taken under duress by the government, which an unwed mother probably has no clue about).

There are also fathers who try to discourage abortions and they deserve their pat on the back, however I wonder where their legal rights are in this case? As far as I know, they have none.

This just in...

...there's a plethora of unprincipled men and an abundance of women willing to have unprotected sex with them.

This argument realy has no merit.
Women have more options available to them then this article acknowleges. They use boyfriend/husband as a redily acceptable excuse to do things that they themselves know to be wrong.

In today's world if a girl hops in the sack with a guy and realizes the next day that she wasn't using any form of contraception she can take a pill to prevent the egg from implanting in her uterus and will not so much as miss a period.

What causes "Unwanted" pregnancy is well.. ignorance and outright stupidity. How many guys can tell you a story of a girl who told him he didn't need to use a condom? (More than you would believe. happend alot in my single days.)

I am sick of Men being bashed over what has become a perinial 'Woman's right' I do not accept the premise that it is a Man's fault that a woman gets pregnant. That is rediculous, completely crazy.

Like most guys I appologize for stuff I did not do to my wife all the time, but geez guys draw a line somwhere. You did not make her wreck the car because you didn't put your socks in the dirty cloths hamper and you did not force her to get an abortion.

Girls, Grow the heck up! You want responsibility over your bodies then prove you can handle it. Right now I don't think you can.

1. You don't get pregnant by accident.
2. You know something causes it.
3. You didn't get pregnant by sitting on a toilet seat.
4. You didn't first realize you might have had unprotected sex a month later.
5. You know the diference between skin and latex.
6. You know weather or not you took your pill
7. Your boyfriend most likely does NOT work at the abortion clinic, and that vacuum device is NOT a new 'Toy'

Get it? Get real. Most guys I know would do anything to prevent having thier child murdered by it's Mom. Delivered or not.

YOU have the tools to prevent it. You have the choice to kill or not to kill your unborn child.

Are you realy a slave to some guy's ****? <-(sexual organ located in the lower abdominal area)

Fathers Play Big Role in Abortion Decision, Experts Say

It seems odd to call a man a 'father' to a child that is murdered never born.

This is bull.

Millions of men want the babies they father to live; women kill/abort them anyway. Blaming fathers whose babies were murdered over their objections is irredeemably insane.

The Culture of Death has prevailed because so called pro-lifers won't acknowledge exactly who it is butchering America's babies.

It is their mothers.

Under Roe, Doe, Danforth, Webster, Casey, and Carhart, no one else can do it. No one else is legally allowed to stop it---which fact is the greatest perversion of human history.

…she found herself pregnant…

Sounds like a medical miracle.

If she had had someone around who would have supported her, she probably would not have been this crusader for abortion rights.

So why didn't she start a crusade to provide support for women, and their children, who were in a situation as bad as hers had been?

Back to the medical miracle, a woman's or a man's right to choose normally starts long before a choice for or against abortion is necessary. If they'd get the earlier choices right, a lot of the later problems would not materialize. We'd still discuss cases where there wasn't a choice and so forth, but the problem set would be smaller.

Part of the problem is people who want to change the outcome of choices they already made. There are some things for which one does not get a "do over."

Thanks excellent points, yes the father has a large role, provided the woman lets him in on the decisions.
