Brooklyn Beep Marty Markowitz said he will probably hang a portrait of a black person or a woman in his office in place of the country's first president, while moving the Father of Our Country elsewhere in Borough Hall.
"I respect history . . . but there has to be a recognition that this is 2002," Markowitz said. "There's not one picture of a person of color, not one kid, not one Latin. Borough Hall should reflect the richness of our diversity."

Throughout Brooklyn Borough Hall, there are portraits of white-haired, white men in colonial-style clothes. A few include plaques with a name, but most have no identifications at all. "We don't have a clue who these folks are," Markowitz said.
Try looking in a history book. You still have those in Brooklyn, don't you?

I live in Brooklyn, a few blocks from Brooklyn Borough Hall. I called Markowitz's office and said that they have just made a statement that Democrats no longer want whites to vote for them and I will never vote for a Democrat again in my life.

Just in case anyone thought that the PC crowd was backing down after 9-11, think again.
PC is alive and well as proven in this article and in the fact that someone wants to change history to represent a more "racially diverse" firefighters memorial.
I hope that at least the terrorist attacks have awakened some sheeple to what is happening in our country in time to do something about it.

"I'm not going to do this alone." Here's the second indicator that this guy shouldn't be in politics. He doesn't have the stones to hang a picture without a public opinion poll.

he wants suggestions from the Brooklyn Museum and the local historical society for whose portrait he should hang in his office. Why ask the historical society, if you want to get rid of the historical figures already hanging on the wall?
I just cannot believe that our history now has to be not what really happened, but some fantasy of what might have happened. The liberals should quit using the word history and replace it with the word fantasy.

Dont ya just love the diversity crowd? Such small minds.Sickening, but we've lost the war, folks. These people and this thinking rule and will only increase in power from here on out. If you have any logical reason to think I'm wrong, please show me.

"I respect history . . . but there has to be a recognition that this is 2002,"
And just maybe that history would be a lot worse for this jerk and a whole lot more people had it not been for GW. That is what bothers these 3rd world types, white guys had the best answer first and were the first to implement it.

"I'm sure they made great contributions and I will find a place for all of these wonderful portraits. They'll be preserved.
"The majority people of Brooklyn are people of color. This building will reflect white folks, black folks, Latin folks and Asian folks, kids and women."
Maybe they should get a clue as to who those folks are that created this place where freedom is cherished above all.

What this bleep bleep bleep bleep can't seem to comprehend, is that Washington was not only the first President of this Nation, but he was an outstanding general who's courageous actions under the toughest of adversities made it possible for us to even have a nation. You know, the nation where this bleep bleep bleep bleep has a job.
As for Sojourner Truth, folks, is it just me or is it time to rise up and smack these people for being the bleep bleep bleep bleep bleep they are?
This is utter nonsense!

What if the three firefighters posting the flag were all black? Do you think that the diversity of the monument would be the same?
To: ibbryn
Well, isn't that what politicians do, my friend? Monkey see, monkey doo.

And why not Idi Amin while they're at it.
