I could care less what ethnic origin they were.

The fact is they happened to be white and should be depicted as such in order to truly be a memorial of the actual event. If they were black etc I would feel the same way.

I'm sure there is some other way to honor the role of other races and sexes in the WTC aftermath.

Are you kidding, blacks would be outraged if it was the opposite. Only white folks are persona non grata.
