How do I edit my bookmarks
Posted on 01/04/2002 4:31:05 PM PST by Michael2001
I hope I'm posting this in the right place, I apologize if I'm not. I noticed a lot of people have links to threads they like on the left hand side of their profile page. How do they do that?- It's been annoying me for a while now. I tried "edit bookmarks" which makes the most sense but I got a "you have no bookmarks to edit" message. Nothing else I tried worked. I'm usually not this stupid

No, you have to log OFF first. Then, edit your bookmarks. Then, log back on again and they will be there.

I have never used the bookmarks. They take up a third of your profile page so why bother.
Why not instead post the links in HTML at the bottom of your page? Click my profile for an example.

I sort of have this question myself. I can edit my existing bookmarks but cannot add any new ones. I don't recall how I added the original ones.

Before the new FR software, we were able to 'bookmark' a certain thread and it would be logged onto your profile page, then when you clicked 'edit bookmarks' on your profile page, you could remove any bookmark that was there.
Maybe you should send a private FReepmail to John Robinson, our webmaster/technical guru.

I will keep you in my prayers. LOL! I haven't bumped into you on a thread in a long time. I saw that funny answer and looked to see who wrote it and it was you! I love these kinds of threads!

You can only delete them from your profile page, if you have any. To edit existing ones, make a new bookmark and replace the info with the edited text from an older one. The Profile stuff will go wide-left of you dont have bookmarks entered. Look at the top of the page you are on now and you'll see "Bookmark".
Send $5 to my FReepmail account. Thanks.

LOL. Hi ya. I seem to be hard pressed to respond to anything that warrants an intellectual response anymore. Like all other things about me I am not proud of, I will blame this on the kids, too. LOL

"Breaking News"
How'd that happen? Guess I really am an idiot. Gotta lay off the cough syrup. I know how it annoys me when other people post crap like that into breaking news, so for what it's worth it's the Robitussin that made me do it.
