There was something missing when VH1 rebroadcast Paul McCartney's Oct. 20 Twin Tower relief concert on Christmas Day. The music video cable channel edited out the infamous twenty seconds where firefighters, cops and their friends in the crowd booed New York Sen. Hillary Clinton off the stage.
"The boos were... replaced with general crowd noise," reports the New York Post's Neal Travis, adding, "the cable channel evidently wants to keep on Hillary's good side."
No wonder.
VH1 is owned by Viacom, parent company of Simon & Schuster, the book publisher that awarded Clinton $8 million last year for a book she won't even have to write till next year.
Perhaps VH1 was just protecting Viacom's investment.

Thanks to technology, nothing on TV can be considered real. Nothing.

...Gee, THAT was stupid of VH1...the Hillary boo-ing was the best part.
To: kattracks
Viacom saw to it that Hillary's "book deal" for $8 million went through. She is their "Boughten" senator, don't forget it and watch the senate hearings on Viacom; if anyone sees that Viacom is on the calendar, be sure to post it!

Thanks to technology, nothing on TV can be considered real. Nothing. It is now offical... the boo's never happened. LOL, everyone expects Hillary to fight fair? Even funnier! Technology can be a two-edged sword, her past appearances can be dubbed and redistributed with added effects if you know what I mean, nod-nod, wink-wink.

When did you consider it real? Just look at video graphics and think how long it will be before you won't be able to tell if it's a real person or a graphic person, MAX HEADROOM is lurking around the corner......

When actual recordings are doctored for any purpose, doesn't the result firmly cross the line into propaganda?

The boos were... replaced with general crowd noise What? This is truly unbelieveable...actually, it is completely believable considering Danny, Pety and Tommy have YET to bring this to the attention of the American people on their nightly broadcasts. < /sarcasm >
I wondered if this would be edited out when I saw the previews for it. Amazing! And, many of these people claim to be journalists reporting...YEAH RIGHT!

My wife and I watched it and I taped it thrilled that I got her introduction and then amazed that they piped in some canned cheering for her and the rapist both. Then they cut Mike Moran's speech and took out him calling Osama Bit.h. Still a great concert as most of the libs become hawkish.

And to think many viewers were suckered into watching the show because they heard about the alleged boos and wanted to see and hear to judge for themselves. For those people, they now think the story about the booing was just a vicious right-wing conspiracy rumor. Viacom fraud to protect their client.
To: ChadGore
Revisionist No, it's censorship of the NYPD and FDNY in the crowd.
Tell VH1 they are practicing censorship - they are very sensitive to that word.

Here's the text of my e-mail I just sent...
What the HELL were you thinking?!?!
Why edit out the honest audience response to that sham of a Senator, Hillary Rodham Clinton/Evita Peron wanna-be?
In case you forgot...that concert wasn't about the MUSIC, or the "celebrities"...it was about those in the crowd who lost friends/family/co-workers in that terrorist act!
When the Firemen/Police BOO'ed her, they were expressing their TRUE feelings...who the HELL are you to edit them, just to curry favor freom that corrupt HARLOT!
I was going to purchase extended broadcast on my Satelite Dish, to get VH-1 Classic. Not now. Now all MTV/VH-1/Viacom is blocked from my dish.
I will be taking this further, and notifying ALL your sponsors that a boycott will now commence; and this deed will be publicised, and they had better distance themselves from your stench, lest they go down as well.
Good-bye. Oh, BTW...I am a pro-musician as well. I will work day and night to have ALL involved in this decision FIRED!

Damn, I didn't think they had the nerve. I posted about this when it was rebroadcast on CBS, I thought they took out some of the boos when the 'toon spoke, others here were not so sure. The didn't even try to show hitlery on CBS though, I guessed at the time it would just be too hard to edit out, I see I was wrong. I guess it took them this long to edit the tape.
