"... Japanese cars sporting American flags, decals, etc." Ironic in the sense that some 'American' cars and trucks are made in Mexico and Canada while similar 'Japanese' vehicles are made in Seattle, Indiana, and Kentucky?
My Toyota Tundra is domestically-made (60%, anyway) in a non-Union factory in Indiana while a Dodge truck is made in Mexico, and Chevy Silverados are made in Canada.

Charging $5 or more to people so they can listen to someone making $150,000 a speech tell them that America needs to redistribute wealth to the poor of other nations.

How many Japanese cars are there in the Ford line today? All the Chryslers are German cars.
I own a Honda Accord. It's the closest thing to an American car available, and it's among the most reliable and best cars for the value out there. No problems. No regrets.

I too succumbed to the "leaf blower" ripoff. It took me twice as long chasing them around the yard and sucking them up then it did to just do what I've been doing for years - rake and bag. Every five minutes, the bag would need to be emptied. And then you have to waste time concocting that 4:1 gas to oil mixture. And it needs gas about every half hour too.

Irony: Anything delivered by car is called a shipment, while anything delivered by ship is called cargo.

Sure. The guy at Home Depot never gives me gardening tips like that.

Most Honda Civics in 1999 were built in the US or Canada, but some were still imported from Japan. They all looked identical, and one could only tell by checking the first character of the VIN (1,2,J). The interiors (at least the cloth seat covers) and some parts were from China. So, an American-made Japanese car contains Chinese parts. [Bridgestone-] Firestone tires -- American or Japanese?

X is the symbol for Christ in Greek.
To: fish hawk
"Christ" in Greek begins with the Greek letter "chi", which looks like an "X".

Two quick questions...where do the profits from these "Japanese" cars go? Does the Japanese government still subsidize their automakers? Honest questions, I don't know.

When I got my leafblower, I bought a special attachment that (a couple of plastic pipes with fitting) that is designed to suck the leaves from the gutters. That was the best $60 ever spend. the damn set of plastic pipes 7 feet high was so heavy, I wan't able to hold the leafblower in my hands upright for longer than a couple of seconds. Haven't used the damn thing in 4 years...
