Dear Fellow Freepers:
Please forgive this vanity, but I'm asking our many prayer warriors for their much needed assistance.
On Monday, November 19, my placenta ruptured and I underwent an emergency c-section to save my baby girl, Skylar. The folks at Baylor did a fabulous job of rescuing us both, but Skylar has since been transferred to a Special Care unit at another hospital and will probably remain there for many weeks to come. Despite being nearly 5 lbs. and 18" long, she's only 33 weeks old and still underdeveloped in many ways.
Could you please include her in your prayers? My husband and I feel particularly helpless at this time, and are turning to the One True Source of Power for help.
Thank you.

Keep faith and your little girl will be fine.
My twin granddaughters were born at 24 weeks (emercency C Section), one was 14 oz., one was 24 oz.. They are now three. It's been a long road but they're fine.

My family and I will pray for Skylar...especially my youngest son who was born at 30 weeks, spent a month in the NICU, and now, aged 9, kicks butt on the basketball court. Be not afraid.

Sending prayers for you, your husband, and especially Skylar. May God be with you and bless you in your time of need. I know what you are going through...16 years ago I gave birth to twins at 30 weeks and they weighted only 3 pounds; they were in the hospital for 8 weeks. My sons are almost 6 feet tall now and healthy. God bless you all.

Of course you and Skylar will be in our prayers!
Both of my children were born prematurely and by emergency C-sections. My first born, a daughter, was not breathing and had to be rushed to a larger hospital to an Prenatal ICU.... My son was born 2 1/2 months early and only weighed 3 lbs, 3 oz.... he was in much better shape than our daughter at birth! Babies are amazingly strong and medical technology is unbelievable!
Have faith and take care of yourself - Skylar is being prayed for and given excellent care - put your faith in God's hands and he will watch over your precious baby.

Skylar, you and her Dad are in my prayers.
My first daughter was born at 28 weeks and I was fortunate to be in a hospital that had a neo-natal intensive care unit. Jen came home on her due date and is now in the United States Navy 20+ years later. She also was born by emergency C-Section, weighing 2 lbs 13 oz, and thanks to God's help she was a beautiful baby and has become a lovely young woman of whom I am very proud! That first time I held her with all the tubes, I felt so bad, but when she snuggled up to me I knew that God was looking out for her as he is your baby!
You take care, stay off your feet so you can get well to take care of your daughter when she comes home! God Bless you all!

I'll be happy to keep both of you in my thoughts and prayers.
I hope everything works out okay.

There are two ways to live your life.
One as though nothing is a miracle.
The other is though everything is a miracle.
Albert Einstein Many prayers for you and your child go out from here with faith, love, and hope.
I believe in miracles.
To: TheWriter
Oh TW! I've already said a prayer and will continue to keep the three of you in my thoughts and prayers. There is no more helpless a feeling than not being able to personally "fix" your child. Just know that she is in the best hands, for He loves His children!
