Clinton blames America

© 2001 WorldNetDaily.com

Why was the World Trade Center destroyed by kamikaze-style Islamic terrorist airline hijackers?

Why did 5,000 American perish Sept. 11?

Why was the Pentagon attacked?

To hear former President Bill Clinton explain it, the United States of America is "paying a price today" for its past sins of slavery and for looking "the other way when a significant number of native Americans were dispossessed and killed."

That's what he told 1,000 students at Georgetown University Wednesday evening, according to news reports.

"This country once looked the other way when a significant number of native Americans were dispossessed and killed to get their land or their mineral rights or because they were thought of as less than fully human," Clinton said. "And we're still paying the price today."

After eight years of Bill Clinton, I guess I shouldn't be surprised by anything. Yet, I've got to tell you, this statement – and its timing – take my breath away. I'm nearly speechless – nearly.

Just a few weeks ago, I recall Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson being pilloried for suggesting that America needed, as part of an act of contrition over the terrorist attacks, to answer for its past and present sins. There was outrage. People were incensed. How dare they?

And, indeed, their timing could have been better.

But this is the former president of the United States! Indeed, this is the former president, most well-remembered for his well-publicized knack for committing sin without remorse, without confession, without acknowledgement and certainly without repentance.

Now, less than two months after the most dramatic attack on the United States in its history, he is lecturing the American people on their collective guilt. He does this in full view of the whole world, including our enemies.

What on earth does America's history with slavery and Indian atrocities have to do with Islamic terrorism in the 21st century? Only Bill Clinton sees a connection.

I guess he doesn't realize that slavery still exists today throughout much of the Islamic world. I guess he doesn't realize that our enemies in this war still persecute and kill indigenous peoples. And I guess he doesn't realize his own personal and political culpability for the tragic events of Sept. 11.

If Bill Clinton knew America had it coming, why didn't he do anything to warn the country? Why didn't he do anything to prevent it?

Let's recall the climate Bill Clinton created upon taking office in 1993.

In an unprecedented action, he fired every U.S. attorney in the country, replacing them all with his own political appointees. He brought in Janet Reno as attorney general, who would personally supervise the incineration and massacre of innocent men, women and children at a church in Waco, Texas. He hired as FBI director, Louis Freeh. The FBI issued a report, on Clinton's watch, explaining that the No. 1 terrorist threat facing America came from right-wing Christians, not Islamists.

After the Oklahoma City bombing, his FBI ignored evidence of a link to Osama bin Laden. After the downing of TWA Flight 800, his FBI ignored the overwhelming eyewitness evidence of a missile attack on the civilian airliner. That's because Bill Clinton saw only one threat to his own political ambitions – and that threat came from the right in the form of a vast conspiracy.

He coddled the Taliban in Afghanistan, pouring U.S. taxpayer aid into that corrupt, oppressive and backward regime. His hand-picked "Bin Laden Task Force" missed opportunities to take out the terrorist who would wreak so much havoc on this country. The FBI had more important priorities – looking under every bed in America for a member of the vast, right-wing conspiracy.

I do agree with Bill Clinton on one thing: America does have some things to reflect on, some sins of the past for which we will be forced to pay over and over again, some transgressions that are unexplainable, horrible, unimaginable.

And none of those errors can top the fact that we as a nation – we as a people – elected this grotesque caricature to the highest office in the land.

How true! Just reading this crap by x42 makes me more & more grateful that God in His Mercy gave us President GW Bush, a man of itegrity, worthy of the office & capable of superb leadership in these perilous times.

His speech last night reminded Americans of everything that is good & right about this country. X42 lives in the past seeking to blame something else for his own failures....he's dispictable.

A strong and united America is the last thing he and his wife want for their future. President Bush is worse than their worst nightmare (in their evil perspective.)

The old sour-grapes philosophy. "If *I* can't be her president, then she's not worth being president of." Either that or, "Terrorists, I feel your pain..." (biting lower lip).

As for Chelsea, she's following in Mummy and Daddy's footsteps just the way her groomers (cough, cough) hoped, thrusting herself into every limelight, making the story about her. "Hey, I'm a victim, too! Well, I almost was! I could have been, ya know!" (The Clintoons can't even get their stories straight about where Baby Girl was that morning or how near she was to the scene. Of course that doesn't stop them from spinning the ever-more-elaborate tale.)

Agreed!! I love how worried they are with a decent God fearing President in office!! Clintoon knows that any chance at any type of hypothetical "legacy" is non-existent now that a REAL MAN is running the country!!

I know.. I agree with you!

The only hope I hold on to (with regard to these idiots) is that maybe, just maybe America will wake up to "who and what" they really are. I just can't give up on that one. Surely 9/11 got people more interested in how our Country is run. How we got where we are today. Maybe now, instead of just listening to their nightly news,..they will THINK for themselves. TAKE responsibility for LIVING in this Country!! (One can never give up **HOPE**)

Thank you especially for this ping.

I really love Joseph Farah. This time I am going to email him and tell him how much this beautifully written and dead-on article meant to moi.

Ya know, John, bill clinton knows about the climate he created that encouraged the tragic Sept 11 attack, just like Mr Farah mentions above with fantastic clarity.

I believe that bill clinton made that speech to deflect from this very issue. He wants the dialogue to be about America being at fault, not billy clinton. Smart. But we have seen this happen one to many times. This is a sick man who believes he can outfox the stupid masses thru controlling the dialogue of the liberal elites. Forget it.

Along with the safety we all once used to feel regarding attack from foreign nations dying on Sept. 11, for many, over-looking the genuine reasons died as well. Even liberals are now concerned, finally, about our homeland. Manipulating issues to make them racial, ethnic and the fault of the VRWC is dead. Bill clinton's legacy is about to rain down on all of America and he is one man has only begun to suffer from his horrid, greedy, traitorous actions.
