As a relatively new Freeper, I haven't a clue to what CHEESE means.... yes, I know the stuff a person can eat. But there are the "Must like cheese" statements and the like. I did a search and there was no good explanation that I could find. Anyone caring to explain on this vanity post, please enlighten a new freeper.
Isn't this where Ferris Bueller is supposed to come back out and tell everyone to go home, the show is over?

Silly or strange vanity threads generally bring up a discussion of various cheeses. (Cheddar, gouda, Bleu, swiss). The stranger the thread, the more silly it gets. You might see a reference to someone's sister being bit by a moose. The moose and the sister are ok. You would need to do a search to find the reference.
You might know that your posting is not being taken seriously if someone posts that they like cheese.

If someone is whining too much, you say to them "Do you want some cheese with your wine?" So the cheese reference just means they are a whiner. Now I'll be banned for telling you this.

It seems to be a new and hopefully short-lived tradition that any use of the word cheese, or moose, or mention of someones bases belonging to somebody else is simply an excuse for the liberal use of bad jokes and puns.
Inevitably, someone will mention bases belonging to somebody else, there will be a "joke" about cutting cheese and Lazmataz will mention that his sister once bit a moose, or was it that a moose bit his sister?
Laz, how do you do those cool fake Finnish alphabetic characters?

Usually you will see the cheese comments in response to posts that sound like whinning, in someones opinion, to which a frequent response is, "what kind of cheese would you like with that whine?"
Basically, its a cheap pun carried to extremes. But, it's evidently fun, and you'll notice more cheese later in the evening, for reasons you can probably guess.
