October 23, 2001 -- The widespread booing of Sen. Hillary Clinton at Saturday night's Madison Square Garden mega-benefit for the World Trade Center victims was regrettable - well, sort of - but hardly surprising.

After all, New York police and firefighters were given prime seats for the all-star concert, and they remember all too well what the state's junior senator has had to say about New York's Finest - pre-Sept. 11, that is.

Once again, the booing was a little tacky - yet entirely understandable

>>Even on a fabulous night like this one, the Hollywood types couldn't leave their partisanship at home.

Well, I didn't know this!!! This was a Dem event. Now, I think the booing is entirely appropriate.

Thanks for the post.

It was at the NY democRAT convention last year that the NYPD color guard was not only booed, but spit upon by attendees.

I don't believe Pataki or Schumer made speeches either. It was entirely appropriate for Guiliani to make an appearance, but the crowd obviously objected to the Clintons trying to take advantage of the benefit concert for their own self-promotion.

It back-fired on the glory-hogs, ha ha ha.

Hillary's delegates spit on and taunt Police Honor Guard at her Convention

Chuckie the gun grabber did not speak, but Gov. Pataki did deliver an animated and very well received speech.

Let's see. What were the Hollywood types thinking? Their dear friend and Senator TRIED to run down a police officer earlier in the week and they are upset at the reception given this witch?

Note to Hollywood: A large percentage of the live audience were police officers and their families. As GUESTS, not on paid detail. This might come as somewhat of a shock, but Wall Streeters have to KNOW their CUSTOMERS. Perhaps you might want to try that approach...

"In other words, heroes when it suits her; knuckle-dragging vast right-wing conspirators when it doesn't."

From an outstanding article in the Boston Herald posted elsewhere...

Hilary has been missing in action where it really counts. You haven't seen her down at ground zero with her sleeves rolled up.

I say, finally New Yorkers are getting a dose of reality. September 11, 2001 destroyed their rose colored glasses and they are seeing for the first time, just how much help a bunch of do-gooder-self-righteous-race-baiting liberals are in a crisis.

The only experience the Elite Liberals have had in helping out is to take our money for their left-wing causes. You are now seeing the elite media and liberal left exposed for the imposters that they have always been.

But hey- they feel our pain right? The only pain I want them to feel is the pain of having empty wallets.

The widespread booing of Sen. Hillary Clinton at Saturday night's Madison Square Garden mega-benefit for the World Trade Center victims was regrettable...

"regret: 1 a : to mourn the loss or death of
b : to miss very much

2 : to be very sorry for"

Regrettable only in the meaning of the first definition of the verb.

No problem. It's always interesting watching an event and then observing the liberal media reporting on it. It shows one how biased they are.

If Drudge had not featured the reception to Hillary, very few people who did not watch the event, would be aware of just how unpopular this witch is.

It goes without saying the media hardly reported on just how well received Mayor Giuliani and Gov. Pataki were received compared to Mr. and Mrs. Sleaze.

And remember, this was in New York! Just imagine how much the heartland of America despises the Clintons.

It's a laugh checking out the lefty websites. They're still debating, whether the witch was even booed at all!

Hillary called the death of Amadou Diallo "murder."

So in effect she called members of the NYPD "murderers."

The NYPD will never forget that.

Yes, I agree, the proper response would have been silence, utter and complete silence, the kind of silence that only occurs in an empty auditorium.

The Clinton Legacy:

After the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, which killed six and injured 1,000, President Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.

After the 1995 bombing in Saudi Arabia, which killed five US military personnel, Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.

After the 1996 Khobar Towers bombing in Saudi Arabia, which killed 19 and injured 200 US military personnel, Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.

After the 1998 bombing of US embassies in Africa, which killed 224 and injured 5,000, Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.

After the 2000 bombing of the USS Cole, which killed 17 and injured 3 US sailors, Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.

Maybe if Clinton had kept his promise, an estimated 7,000 people would be alive today.

An interesting question:

There are two men, both extremely wealthy. One develops relatively cheap software and gives hundreds of millions of dollars to charity. The other sponsors terrorism. That being the case, why is it that the US government has spent more money chasing down Bill Gates over the past ten years than Osama bin Laden?

And Last:
It is a strange turn of events. Hillary gets $8 Million for her forthcoming memoir. Bill gets about $12 Million for his memoir.

This from two people who have spent the past 8 years being unable to recall anything about past events!

I was so wrapped up in the fact that ol' hellary was boo'd I completely missed the fact, that not one Bush or conservative was there to announce the acts.
