Ted Cruz is continuing to consolidate support from among many of his primary rivals. Recently, as leader Ben Carson has seen a virtual implosion within his campaign, and with his poll numbers in a freefall, Cruz has surged into the lead in Iowa, and is in a solid second place nationally as well as in South Carolina, Florida, Nevada and Georgia. Cruz's surge is largely based on picking up the support of Carson voters, especially evangelical voters who are leaving Carson for Cruz in large numbers.
But Cruz is also seeing support come his way from the "Liberty" movement.
Steve Hoffman of Horry county South Carolina, who serves as one of three at-large National Directors for the Republican Liberty Caucus, has also been serving as an Horry county grassroots coordinator with the Rand Paul campaign.
Hoffman tells us that though he still has a lot of respect for Paul and wishes him the best, he has recently decided to switch his support from Paul to join the Ted Cruz super PAC, Keep The Promise I. Hoffman said that, "Rand Paul and Ted Cruz are undoubtedly the two candidates in this race who are the true Liberty movement candidates, the two who support and fight for the Constitution and understand our inalienable God-given rights."(continued)

A lot of “libertarian” conservatives are coming to Cruz.
first primary I’ve ever followed, but a 20 point lead seems really hard to overcome in a few months’ time.
I guess we’ll see.
Go Cruz.
People who are serious about liberty are going to come out for Cruz.
Just waiting for the Bush surge.../ S
Go Cruz Go! Best conservative in the race, and the best one to move the country back to the constitution.
You obviously don't pay attention to the legislation Cruz either writes or co-sponsors.
He's crapped on the constitution plenty of times.
Thus explaining why Paul has his knickers in a knot.
Go Cruz! The best Reagan conservative in the race. Strong for fiscal, libertarian and social conservatives.
Ted Cruz is something of a dilemma.
His supporters love him, they display a loyalty that borders on the sublimely divine. And to the degree this inspires them, they also go out to inspire still others.
But the widening ripples still do not seem to have the force to carry Ted Cruz much beyond New Hampshire. Oh, he shall still poll well in the other coming primaries, but this may have already been his crest, and in winner-take-all, there is still the Big Dawg off the porch and leading the way.
Then there is the opposition research that has been running day and night over at the Democrat National party basement rooms. Most of it untrue, all of it derogatory, and it will be fed out through the social media where it shall spread like a metastasizing cancer. There is no way to get ahead of this, and regardless of how feeble a candidate Herself proves to be, the great unwashed middle will still not be able to bring themselves to consider Ted Cruz. In their eyes, he is “Republican”, even though the Republican Establishment despises him nearly as thoroughly as they despise and loathe The Donald.
The thing is, not nearly that many people in the general population of voters have that much affection for liberty.
The Donald is not selling “liberty” as an abstraction or as a reality. He is in the process of kicking Political Correctness in the head, and that has the Democrats as well as the Republican Establishment completely discombobulated.
The best possible combination, when the dust is settled, is The Donald in the saddle on the white horse, and Ted Cruz riding point beside him on the pinto mustang. (The Indian horse, not the car).
Lone Ranger and Tonto.
Cruz co-sponsored a bill to 'fix' Head Start. Where is that crap in the constitution? He should be attempting to repeal that garbage but apparently Ted's okay with big government.
You sure make a lot of accusations about Cruznsupporters, no of which is actually true.
Beats the pro big government statist, pro single payer healthcare, pro anti-privacy, Trump any given day.
Go Cruz Go! Just the mention of his success make liberal heads spin.
Hey, if Cruz is President, at least Goldman Sachs will be happy.
Non conservatives for Christy and others will probably go Trump.
You forgot to mention illuminati and the secret skull and crossbones society. Waaaaah!
How do you feel about the Kelo decision - are you OK with Trumps opinion?
Surely even a Doubting Thomas would have to wait for the Iowa caucus before trying to proclaim his ‘crest’.
