A sample of some Reaganesque writing of Dr Paul:

Ron Paul - Scandals are a Symptom, Not a Cause (FR link)

Reagan was a limited gov't conservative, not an anarchist libertarian. Big difference.

So the answer to the question in the title is an emphatic 'no'.

Hey Travis, how about this:

"If you analyze it, I believe the very heart and soul of conservatism is libertarianism. The basis of conservatism is a desire for less government interference or less centralized authority or more individual freedom - and this is a pretty general description also of what libertarianism is. I think that libertarianism and conservatism are traveling the same path."
— Ronald Reagan
At the least, it'll start a conversation; so far they're all just sayin' "No"...

Reagan would declare Ron Paul illegal and begin bombing in 5 minutes.

Reagan was far from non-interventionist. Ask the Sandanistas. Ask the former Soviets. Ask Ron Paul if he would have installed Pershing 2’s and ground-based cruise missiles in Europe to challenge the Soviets. No, that would have been none of our business. We would have made the Soviets mad at us. It would have been our fault.

Ron Paul will never be the commander in chief of my United States.

If Reagan were alive today, he’d be screaming: “Let me outta here!”

“Would Reagan Vote for Ron Paul?”

He got the chance to in 1988 - anyone know how he voted?

It seems a lot of people are getting a kick out this whole thorazine joke because of Charles Krauthammer, who hasn’t been practicing psychiatry for years. Thorazine is a pretty obsolete drug and has been largely replaced with newer and better ones. Yes, I am a psychiatry resident - I don’t need to take them (not yet anyway!). Even Krauthammer’s jokes are out of style.
