On Nov. 5, supporters of Ron Paul raked in more than $4.2 million in donations in 24 hours, mostly of them collected over the Internet.
Today, they're at it again. Hoping to detonate what they call a "money bomb," the supporters started fundraising at midnight Saturday and have already raised $2 million as of about 10:30 a.m. today, more than at this point on Nov. 5, according to figures they posted online. They hope to collect a total of $10 million by midnight Sunday.
Last time, they tied their fundraising to Guy Fawkes Day, which commemorates a British mercenary who tried unsuccesfully to kill King James I on Nov. 5, 1605. This time, they're seizing on the 234th aniversary of the Boston Tea Party and converging on this snowy city to rally.
They plan on gathering on the State House steps at 1 p.m. and parading down to Faneuil Hall, where they will listen to speeches in tune with Paul's libertarian platform. Speakers will include the Republican presidential candidate's son, Dr. Rand Paul, an eye surgeon, and Carla Howell, the libertarian who ran unsuccesfully for governor in 2002.
There are also plans to dump some tea (or at least some boxes labeled tea) into the Harbor, though the details were still sketchy as of this morning.

Yep, and I'm one of them. Just donated today.
By the way, I applaud your decision to enlist. Good luck next month!
It blows my mind that Paul supporters are called surrender monkeys on this site, when everything I've read shows he has more support in the military than any other single candidate.
And BTW, there is nothing more American then a 3rd party run, no matter who it is. Remember the Whigs?
In my most humble opinion, your best best, for a Republican(ino) voter who is faced with a decision in the primary is to vote for Ron Paul. Then you can avoid losing the party as a whole.
So pick up your sign,
And contribute online,
Join the American call,
and vote for Ron Paul.
A surrender monkey, RP supporter is going to Marine Corp Boot Camp?? s/
MCRD? You will have a great time. Put everything into it and you will get so much more out of it. Some great mental head games and great workouts.
It was the best time of my life.
Great luck and stay strong.
Oh, I’m sure I’ll be fine, just a big change from life as it exists for me now. Kind of wished I’d done it 3 years ago though, at least then I was in shape.
I was driving home from the Poconos, PA a few months back and we saw people on both sides of the road for about a mile. There had to be almost 100 of them. They were all ages, colors, nationalities, and seemingly varying income levels. When we stopped at a traffic light, a young man offered us some papers. We thought they were for the shopping outlets and took them. they turned out to be Ron Paul literature. When I took them, the young man said “Thank you, have a nice day”.
Didn’t see any skin heads or Nazis or any thing.
I have not decided who to vote for, yet. I am still reading and researching. Ron Paul being labeled an isolationist kinda scares me, as I don’t want the rest of the world ganging up on us, with our allies feeling betrayed by us. But much of the rest of his message... I kinda like.
Again, I am undecided at this point, but I sure wish some of the GOP’s spoke loudly of what Ron Paul is saying.
A vote for Ron Paul is a vote for the destruction of Israel.”

That’s enough reason for me....Israel, our only true ally in the Middle East. And Bush has decided to leave them twisting in the wind.
What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. Or, as Audie Murphy said, ‘They can kill us but they can’t eat us.’ You’ll do fine, shipmate. Don’t leave anything in barracks; give it all up. FReepers are proud of you!
Not only that but the people of the Texas 14th have seen what a p*ssy this guy is and will vote him out of office. Stop inundating FR with your ron paul crap, it is better suited to www.truth.com and affilated alex jones sites.

Great job!
EXCEPT, as I said, a 3rd-party on the right; which is why, I believe we'll learn, so many of HER PEOPLE are saboteur-contributing to Ron Paul.
This blatant, gross waste of taxpayer dollars has got to stop. This is breaking the back of the average Joe.
When I think of the billions of dollars squandered while our borders are wide open, Americans w/o health insurance, taxes (federal, state and local) are egregiously high....why I just get a bit upset.
Our government has strayed so ded-gum far from it’s constitutionally mandated duties, we think it’s normal now.
Well, it’s not. We are losing this country. Our representative republic has become an Oligarchy. That is a government basically controlled by a smaller group of elites.
This countries government was formed for and by the people.
I am afraid it has morphed into a government for and by the foreign and corporate lobbyist.
Read a report a few weeks ago.....the rich are getting richer at a faster pace at anytime in Americas history while the average Joe-six pack has seen a decline in wages and standard of living.
Another report showing how corporate execs are reaping in up to 500 times the average workers compensation.
These globalist are sucking the juice of life outta our nation. Greed is killing this nation.
Free trade....that’s the mantra they use. It may be free, but it ain’t fair trade. These greedy power hungry elites are skimming the wealth from your labor.
She would have to run turd party to even be in the nov election is my point.
Yeah, they must have somehow just missed that the first 10 times they voted him into office.
Thanks a lot for that animation. I may never sleep again.
