On Tuesday, September 11, the SAIS Center on Politics and Foreign Relations (CPFR) and the Financial Times hosted an event with congressman and presidential candidate Ron Paul, entitled "A Traditional Non-Intervention Foreign Policy." Congressman Paul provided keynote remarks, followed by questions from CPFR's director Robert Guttman, the Financial Times White House correspondent Andrew Ward and members of the audience.
Here is a link to the audio of Ron Pauls' speech today at SAIS

Another example of the utterly simplistic, nonsensical policy views of Congressman Paul. The USA has not had a "Traditional Non-Intervention Foreign Policy" since before the Mexican American war. This drivel not only shows him completely unfit for any higher office, it shows him completely unfit for the office he now holds.
I was there yesterday and I was highly impressed with his speech and the answers to the questions afterwards...as were the vast majority of the audience.
His message on foreign policy (as well as his stance on many other issues) is gaining favor with the American public by leaps and bound and with good reason: it makes sense.
While I think the title of his speech could have been better worded, Congressman Paul was speaking of the foreign policy that our forefathers believed in and practiced.
Your statement about the Mexican-American war has no correlation with foreign policy today. Need I remind you that Mexico attacked us three times before we retaliated?
Also, we didn’t intervene in Mexico’s affairs, Texas had already been admitted into the Union.
I’ve proud to be able to say I was there, got to hear a great speech, shook his hand and got his autograph. His policies put him head and shoulders above ANY of the other candidates...from either party.
Belated ping to a great thread with the audio of RP’s address at the John Hopkins Nitze School on foreign policy. He was received well by all accounts, no doubt causing Sean Hannity’s head to explode. Again.
How does Paul reconcile his Non interventionist foreign policy and Al Qauida’s ongoing efforts to attack US interests at home and abroad.
Perhaps listening to this speech would be more helpful than my trying to explain it.
Thanks for the link to Ron Paul’s speech. I will listen later today.
What I find interesting, though, is that the keyword posse apparently passed this way without stopping to leave their comments. Are they too busy spamming another thread?
Keywords as of this posting: 911truthers; bigshrimp; constitution; freedom; hisislamicoverlords; liberty; mrspaulsshrimp; muslimsforronpaul; paulbearers; paulestinians; ronpaul; scampi; theweenieking; tinfoil; truthers; wildamericanshrimp; wot
The mods probably would know who hit and ran, and it could be just one person doing it. Still, I find it curious that only one suspect bothers to post.
Probably because they don’t want too much attention paid to his words when there’s not a hostile moderator to try to trip him up. No sound bites to be taken out of context and no RINO candidates to snicker when he tries to answer a question... In other words, when HIS message goes out, they don’t want anyone to hear it straight from him because it hasn’t gone through THEIR filter... they want folks to absorb Dr. Paul’s message like used beer, it tastes better to the anti-Paulistas after it’s been filtered through someone’s kidneys first...
I need Broadband ARGHh!!! I can listen to Ron Paul answer questions and I know where he is usually headed. What the media reports as his replies no where near represents what Ron Paul is actually saying or his reasoning and facts to back up what he is saying. Reporters also know what he is saying or was headed. Such ones as Neocon Damage Control SPINBOT Hannity. That is why Vannity screams, shouts, and holds his breath. He's melting..So is Hannity's agenda as Conservatives are no longer buying into it. LOL
Thanks for the first hand report, and welcome to FR. Go Dr. Paul! Blackbird.
any transcripts available of this?
You’re welcome, and thanks for stopping by. I posted it here at RLC in hopes it would remain unmolested. But as you pointed out, some child discovered it to attack the keywords.
If you find time, please check back with your comments after listening.

Thanks for stopping by with your on scene report. I agree with your assessment that he is “gaining favor with the American public by leaps and bound and with good reason: it makes sense.”
Welcome aboard.

Don’t know travis. But I’ll give it a looksee.
We should try to find a transcript for ya. I told travis I would look around.
I quit “vannity” when he began sucking up to and pushing julieannie.
Ron Paul is such a skilled political cross dresser, you’d think he was Rupaul.
