Disenfranchised Freeper been here 6 years 4 months 3 million hours, 12 days and a leap year
My highly evolved gray matter | 12/31/04 | JoeSixPack1

I was once a loney freeper. A freeper without a "1", pleasently picking on user "Ash" daily, now I have a (one)"1". What did I win to become a 'one'?

Back in the days of Teddy Roosevelt, I signed on to FR. (May, 98.) Then somebody hit the wrong button and BOOFF! I was eliminated, disenfranchised, erased from memory. Gone, Capute!

Subsequently, posing as a lurker, I saw an old thread I had started from July, '98. I tried to post to it.

Nothing.

I tried again.

Nothing!

I emailed JimRob. He said my user ID was gone! Not banished, not erased, not booted,, just gone! The mystery is enough to make you cry! I was a "nothing". (Although after this post and with the kitties getting to me that could change)

So being the great and all mighty (JimRob), he gave me a new user ID, pretty much like the old one, except it had a "1".

Years went by. Then sign on dates became the thing to have. This is where I was disenfranchised. I had a 2000 user ID but signed on in '98. The earlier my sign-on date was i assumed the more intelligent I just had to be!

If that wasn't enough, down the road a new user signed on with my old user name and completely ruined my image!! On top of it all, that one old thread which had made me famous was deleted, so I have no proof

I'm doomed! I want a recount!!!! DUH! Call Jesse Jackson, Gloria Allred!! (Get me Ann Coulter's cell number!)

Laws expand in proportion to the resources available for their enforcement

That's just a gem, did you put that aphorism together or find it somewhere? I just want to know the source because I want to add it to my collection of favorite quotes.

Dalin B. Oaks's Unruly Laws for Lawmakers:

Law expands in proportion to the resources available for its enforcement.

Bad law is more likely to be supplemented than repealed.

Social legislation cannot repeal physical laws.

Don't ask me who he is. I don't know. It could be a pseudonym for Murphy.

Merry Christmas Joe..It has been a long time.

I recall more than a few names that have dropped by the wayside. FR is a lot like the seven year itch, just cant get rid of it.

Barnacles and all I still miss A+Bert..

I suspected, you aint no lady. hehehehehe

Ash's Uncle A+bert ?? :-)LOL!! Crazy old curmudgeon, but lots of fun to duel with.

FR life is good. But if we stop rocking this thing, the ride might end.

You mentioned Ash in the beginning of your post. I have just signed on here and joined on at the bottom. You must remembr A+bert then, or maybe it was just A bert. At any rate, he was cantankerous, but a nice guy.

I've been here since April '98. But only lurked til I couldn't keep quiet any longer.

Sue Ellen's sister was played by Bing Crosby's daughter, I think her name was Mary Crosby but can't remember. She was a conniving vixen.

I don't remember how I came upon this old thread, I don't have a good reason for bumping it into 2006, but why not?

Hey dude, don't be dissing us folks with 2000 start-up dates. 2000 is technically in the 20th Century, so we're old-timers, too!

I remember you "Pre-1."

Was it you that stood up for Ash one day?

Somebody said, "Ash, you stink." And you or somebody said, "Like $hit he does."
