No, no, no, no, no, no, NO!
They worship PLUTO, not Bluto.
Easy mistake.

They act like this was all a big surprise that a Christian state should consider the Pagans dangerous. Well, my, after feeding them to lions, dismembering them, cooking them alive on gridirons and covering them with oil and setting them ablaze to act as human torches, you'd think the Christians would know the pagans were really, deep down, in their heart of hearts, kind and peaceful people and full of tolerance.

I've always found this early official recognition of the priority and Primacy of Rome and the authority of the Patriarch of Alexandria interesting. The Emperors certainly knew who was in charge!
"It is our desire that all the various nations which are subject to our Clemency and Moderation, should continue in the profession of that religion which was delivered to the Romans by the divine Apostle Peter, as it hath been preserved by faithful tradition; and which is now professed by Pontiff Damasus and by Peter, Bishop of Alexandria, a man of apostolic holiness. According to the apostolic teaching and the doctrine of the Gospel, let us believe in the one deity of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, in equal majesty and in a holy Trinity. We authorize the followers of this law to assume the title of Catholic Christians; but as for the others, since, in our judgment, they are foolish madmen, we decree that they shall be branded with the ignominious name of heretics, and shall not presume to give to their conventicles the name of churches. They will suffer in the first place the chastisement of the divine condemnation, and in the second the punishment which our authority, in accordance with the will of Heaven, shall decide to inflict." (Emperor Flavius Theodsius, Theodosian Code XVI.1.2)

These are wackos, no significance in Greece. Ignore them because they have it all wrong.
Sounds like a looser trying to get laid by inventing a new religion based on a few familiar reference points. This moron has been smoking a few joints to many.

Orthodoxy is especially hostile to science. This is who they are attacking in their statement about science.

Orthodoxy is hostile to science? Why? Or should I ask?

This is a HOOT! Thanks for pinging me!
"I find it funny that Christians apparently aren't Gentiles (is the author implying they are all Jews???)" [They're both.]
Could it be we have met the enemy and the enemy is us? Perhaps they doth OPPOSE THEMSELVES?? See here:
http://www.blueletterbible.org/tsk_b/2Ti/2/25.html Note in particular Acts 20:21 Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.
WHO led Israel into idolatry? The Tribe of Dan. WHO sold Joseph into slavery? The sons of Bilhah (the bondwoman), one of whom was DAN, and the sons of Zilpah (another bondwoman). [
http://www.blueletterbible.org/kjv/Gen/Gen037.html ]. Why did they sell him into slavery? Because he had just told the family that the rest of them would bow down to him. The sceptre belonged to Judah, but the BIRTHRIGHT belonged to Joseph. [
http://www.blueletterbible.org/kjv/1Ch/1Ch005.html#1 ]. They were JEALOUS. (Not to even mention the coat of many colors.) WHOSE sons were lumped under the name of 'Hushim' (sons of Dan) because of their sin? DAN's, not REUBEN's (who went up to his father's bed), because Reuben sought to rescue Joseph.
WHO did Jesus come to save? The lost sheep of Israel. Who was the lostest of the lost sheep? DAN, the tribe that had led Israel into idolatry, cutting themselves off from the tribes "forever". What was their response to
Jesus? See here:
Mat 21:33 Hear another parable: There was a certain householder, which planted a vineyard, and hedged it round about, and digged a winepress in it, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country:
Mat 21:34 And when the time of the fruit drew near, he sent his servants to the husbandmen, that they might receive the fruits of it.
Mat 21:35 And the husbandmen took his servants, and beat one, and killed another, and stoned another.
Mat 21:36 Again, he sent other servants more than the first: and they did unto them likewise.
Mat 21:37 But last of all he sent unto them his son, saying, They will reverence my son.
Mat 21:38 But when the husbandmen saw the son, they said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and let us seize on his inheritance.
http://www.blueletterbible.org/tsk_b/Mat/21/38.html Perhaps it's time to let brother Dan in on something. Jesus came to redeem YOU, too! Some of you have recongnized that; in fact, one was the first recorded Christian upon Jesus' death - the Roman centurion! But since you stopped reading the Bible after Deuteronomy, and killed all the prophets, you never knew God. Therefore, you didn't know the Son when He came. Isn't it time to hang up all your nonsensical "wisdom and knowledge", your "laws" that would break a camel's back, and all your silly rituals, and come to the True Knowledge and the True Wisdom and the True Law that is found in our Brother Jesus Christ? Cast away your stony heart, and He will give you one of flesh. The whole world is waiting on you to get with the program. As you led our brethren into idolatry, you can lead them out. (Back up and read the Parable at Matthew 20.
http://www.blueletterbible.org/kjv/Mat/Mat020.html You'll get your share!) The world will be a whole better place when you do, and the rest of us would appreciate it very much. Thank you.

However, the movement has also attracted a small number of more sinister followers; right-wing nationalists who believe their anti-Semitic views are reflected in its rejection of the Judeo-Christian religion.I don't know.....what do you think?

. . . I gave my love a baby, and then you see,
My love got very angry and she said to me:
"I didn't mind the cherry without the stone,
I didn't mind the chicken without the bone,
But when you give a baby, there's just one thing:
You ought to give at least an engagement ring!"
. . . bada-bing.
. . . don't blame me, blame this guy.
