If you want to make converts, begin by converting your own heart

So you think that evangelizing your family and friends, coworkers and neighbors is an impossible dream? Think again. God wants to work through you, regardless of your circumstances in your office, your home, your social circles, your parish to search out and rescue those who have drifted or are starting to drift away from the Faith. All He needs to work with is a willing heart. Here are a few lessons from the life of St. Francis de Sales about how God can make you His coworker in the vast drama of salvation.

I think Mr. Madrid can handle it. I have no doubt, and I look forward to the exchange.

Okay, I did my best. It's posted now as a separate thread called "He's an Only Child."

That is an understatement.

***Sorry***
Oh, please, no apology necessary. Our search engine is not always accurate, and I thought others might also like to read the very interesting article.

And please forgive the typo in the headline. I wasn't sure how to do a line break after "Apostle," so the subtitle runs on accidentally. Not a problem, I don't think you could do it anyway. You will find that the good old colon ":" is your trusted friend in these situations. Yes, a little something useful after all from 9th Grade English.

Wow! Welcome to FR, Mr. Madrid! Please excuse the mess - we FR Catholics sometimes get a bit messy around here, but we try to do it with love. Our discssions of issues of Faith here on FR occasionally get a bit out of hand, but there are a great many committed and orthodox Catholics here (along with our allies and friends from the Protestant, Evangelical, and Eastern Orthodox dvisions) who sincerely want to "work out our Faith with fear and termbling" and combat the forces of heresy and decadence. I hope you'll join in!
