This is an unfair definition, based on the author's own words. It is not a term "Bible Critics" use on anyone who disagrees with them. It is a term the author claims critics of the KJV Only position use on those who hold to the KJVOnly position. There is a categorical difference. Right or wrong, Ruckman was a KJVOnly "bigot." This author has created a strawman, and then set it on fire. I have been a pastor/teacher for 24 years, and I have never heard of anyone accusing someone who disagreed with them about the KJVOnly position of being a "Ruckmanite."
This is typical of this entire series of articles. The author makes himself look authoritative by creating positions for the opposition, and then defeating those positions. Demonstrates one of two things to me: the author is not sure of his position, or he is not the scholar he claims to be and has to sensationalize the position of others to make himself look better.
BTW - I have only taken time to comment on this because someone has chosen to post it in a public place - and the author's claims should not go unchallenged.
If any of you want to listen to some of Dr. Ruckman’s material free of charge, go to Don Nesbitt’s page at YouTube. Everything that he did by way of commentaries that the Bible Bookstore did not publish is there and can be downloaded to mp3 if you have the 4K Video to MP3 app.
