"Masculine gender is denoted by the article "o," feminine by "a," and neuter by "to." The word for spirit, "pneuma" is neuter, ..."

How does this make sense?

Thanks for your posts. Have you ever met Dr. Gipp or heard him preach?

Yes, I've met him several times, (a friend of mine is a good friend of his) and I've heard him preach. He's a good preacher. You don't take many notes, but you never stop listening!

His testimony is (I think) somewhere on the Unshackled web site. (Radio drama).

I have a great sermon by him on tape that I can listen to over and over again.

He probably has some messages posted online.

I just read this reference ... a very sensible discussion. I found this item particularly interesting, from a "KJV is perfect" standpoint:

"Even the KJV translators did not claim for their work what modern promoters insist. The original translators at times were uncertain of the correct variant and made marginal notes to indicate other possibilities. In the preface to the original KJV, the editors acknowledged the profit from other versions. Here is what they wrote:

'Therefore as S. Augustine saith, that varietie of Translations is profitable for the finding out of the sense of the Scriptures: so diversitie of signification and sense in the margine, where the text is not so cleare, must needes doe good, yea, is necessary, as we are perswaded.' "

I love the spelling from those pre-dictionary days ... my sons try to outdo one another in their creative phonetics.

While I don't take Greek myself, I think this is probably an exception to its normal grammar. Most languages have these kinds of exceptions. For example, poeta or agricola in Latin have feminine endings, but are masculine nouns. Regardless of the proper Greek grammar, the author should have cleared this up.

Someone else did that page for him. It's the same guy who runs biblebelievers.com.

It's nice to see a good page for Dr. Gipp. HIs old one was not that good.
