Your post is excellent as are so many others on this thread.I am going to get a few hundred post cards and with about 10 others write some pointed comments to bishops. If we write only truth in a reasonable manner we can't help but influence a few chancery employees who sort the mail, even if many of the bishops pitch the postcards.

For instance,to say:"There is plenty of room in the Church for one more sinner, however, there is no room for those who would have the rest of us trade the truth for a lie." Then one could add a more personal comment such as "please get back to teaching Catholic Truth from the pulpits and the podiums in your diocese.Just follow the Holy Father and his teaching Magisterium."

I am concerned that the "progressives" are using this scandal to strengthen their argument for a "local democratic church",to use postcards to express allegience to Rome, might be a way to get the word out.As strange as it may seem to us,there are many catholics who are unaware that there is any battle for the soul of the Church going on in this country. They merely want the scandal to be fixed.

We also need to intensify our prayer life. I often get so involved in the activism that I don't pray as often as I should.

Baltimore, huh?

Great catch, Romulus. William Keeler. Cardinal "Gay Friendly" himself.
