It just seemed to follow naturally to post the beautiful Way of the Cross by St. Alphonsus Liguri. Probably not too many people know these anymore. We never say them at my Church.

During Lent at the parish I attend we do the Way of the Cross according to St. Alphonsus Liguori (Tan Books publishes a booklet with the prayers and illustrations). It is very beautiful and moving.

Jesus Falls a Second Time

My Most gentle Jesus, how many times hast Thou pardoned me, and how many times have I fallen again, and begun again to offend Thee! Oh, by the merits of this new fall, give me the necessary helps to persevere in Thy grace until death. Grant that in all temptations which assail me I may always commend myself to Thee. Thank you for posting that link. I am truly hopeful that EWTN will make a videotape available of this Way of the Cross. I tried to tape it myself but the &^%$# vcr refused to accept that channel into its program.

Thanks Nyer. I saw some of this today - it was unbelievable. I'm sure the kids in the audience were inspired because I was inspired just seeing the small part I could on tv. Thank God for EWTN.

Was JPII present? I couldn't watch it long enough to find out. Thanks, salvation for letting us know JPII wrote the text - from what I was able to see and hear, it was truly beautiful.

I'm kind of kicking myself I didn't drive up to Canada with the kids... it isn't that far for me.

Do you know if they will be offering a video of this incredible event??? I teached Catechism and would love to show it to my students. I think it would be a powerful presentation.
