Don't be afraid of sin! There is no sin! This statement sent up red flags when I first read the article. Anyone in this forum familiar with Fr. Sudac?

I wonder if that is a translation error? If not it reminds me of something Luther said in his "table talk".

"Don't be afraid of sin! There is no sin!"Hmmm...Who ELSE says this? The first thing that popped into my head when I saw this was "Necedah."

"Don't look into politics! don't look into ideologies! Don't look into magics!" Father Sudac implored, delivering his sermon at St. Athanasius. Father Gio translated with matching fervor, a mighty, rising call and response. "Don't look into spiritism! Don't look into Santería! Don't be afraid of sin! There is no sin! Jesus Christ died to banish sin from this world! Open yourself! Make room in your heart. Then he will come in there in those places. He will come real fast!" Here's the complete quote. It bothers me, a lot. Jesus died to save us from our sins. He (Jesus) told us (paraphrased) to fear not those who can destroy the body, but rather him who can destroy both body and soul in Hell. That seems somewhat at odds with part of this fellow's message.

Sudac, whose wounds have been declared "not of human origin" by Vatican doctors at the Gemelli Clinic in Rome I'd say that leaves the door open in either direction.
Does it matter if I am a saint?
Declaring oneself a saint is not only presumptious on his part but also a sin. Oh wait, "There is no sin!" (/sarcasm). Personally, I am not comfortable with this situation.

I heard of this guy about 1 or 2 years ago. It's hard to find info on him. Last I checked the Church was reserving judgement.
I'm half Croatian myself and would like to believe....but there's something about it that doesn't sit right.
Medjugorje bothers me also.

Medjugorje bothers me also. You're reading my mind. I need to get some tinfoil.

In addition to his translation duties, Father Gio arranges Sudac's schedule (for $2,300, you can take a trip to Medjugorje, the Bosnian-pilgrimage package-tour destination, air and hotel included, which includes five days with Father Sudac) More red flags.
The "no sin" statement could have been a translation or reporting problem. Can't believe anyone would be dumb enough to say such a thing.

I'm lost with your "Necedah" reference, - Help Please.

Witholding judgement at this point.

Thsi is a GUARANTEED money-maker. Folks that frequent the Marian apparition websites will be soon opening their pocketbooks for him while their poor Christian neighbors will remain unnoticed.
When I first saw the photo I knew this was bogus. When I read (for $2,300, you can take a trip to Medjugorje, the Bosnian-pilgrimage package-tour destination, air and hotel included, which includes five days with Father Sudac) I could smell the sulphur.

Medjugore is phony, and so is this guy.
He talks about himself too much. No saint does that.

I will give Satan some credit. He was clever enough to know American's over 40 wouldn't believe a fraud named Carnac the Mysterious.
FR. Carnac I hold in my hand these envelopes which,as any fool can see, have been kept in a mayonaise jar on the porch of Funk and Wagnalls, and only you, in your mysterious and borderline way ....

John the Baptist, Jesus and Simon/Peter all began their ministries by telling the crowds to repent. When we hear anyone telling us there is no sin, we know we are dealing with Satan's slave

Bosnian-pilgrimage package-tour destination, air and hotel included, which includes five days with Father Sudac I thought priests weren't supposed to be leading 'pilgrimages' to Medjugorje. I thought two successive Bishops had decalared the 'apparitions' to be inauthentic. Am I misinformed?

I thought priests weren't supposed to be leading 'pilgrimages' to Medjugorje. I thought two successive Bishops had decalared the 'apparitions' to be inauthentic. Am I misinformed? You are correct. Both Bishop (I am drawing a blank, Stepanic?) and Bishop Zanic not only declared there was NO evidence of an appartion, BOTH, in writing, declared the alleged "visionaries" were liars.

while their poor Christian neighbors will remain unnoticed. Indeed sad. We can make the biggest change on society by spending our time, love and money on those around us -- family, children, our local church, and reaching out to the unchurched in our local communities.
