US Cardinal soon to be outed as homosexual...Which one?
O'Reilly, NY Post, The Diocese Report, others... ^

On Fox tonight O'Reilly said a cardinal is about to be outed as an active homosexual. Rumor has it Bishop Bruskiwiecz sent a letter telling this Cardinal to "resign, or else..."
NY POST: WHICH American cardinal recently disclosed to insiders a confidential letter he received from a bishop urging the cardinal to resign for the good of the church? The cardinal is being urged to quit before his much-gossiped-about homosexual indiscretions are uncovered by the media . . . WHICH ranking priest of a major diocese predicted over a boozy dinner the other night that if the media outs this particular cardinal, "then the dominoes will really start to fall"?

Do you recall where Egan was before becoming Cardinal in New York? I thought he was close by but not in New York. Was it Long Island?

The gays, leftists, and other assorted scum busy working to destroy Catholicism are in for a surprise when the Church turns the tables on them and starts to actively throw homosexuals out of the priesthood. Then these same SOB's will cry discrimination.
I have the feeling that it's the bishops who were quietly trying to clear gays out of the seminaries who were the objects of ACT-UP's "condom attacks" at ordinations. I have no proof, just a hunch, and my memory's not good enough to tie up the bishops who have tried with the dates and places of the attacks.

Hate the sin; love the sinner. It's not always easy to do, but it's our duty. Fr. Neuhaus of First Things notes that a common attitude today seems to be "Love the sin, love the sinner, and hate whoever calls it a sin and him a sinner."

Bridgeport Conn.,I believe. I have read that he had many child abusing priests and failed to handle them well. Although it seems that a Bishop entering a new diocese might not know how to clean up the mess left by the previous bishop, especially if the predecessor was surrounded by a group of homosexuals and their sympathizers and protectors in the parishes and chanceries.

Ladies and Gentlemen - Introducing the
"VILLAGE PREACHERS!"
Heck, it'll probably happen soon.
This is so sad for all Christians.
Hide your children folks. This is just one more highly publicized travesty where a small minority of deviants have infiltrated and taken over an institution upon which millions look to for moral guideance. It's all part of the "agenda". Nothing to see here, move along...

When one considers the evolving Latino-Anglo linguistic split developing in some quarters of North America, however, Latin may turn out to be a diplomatically useful language liturgically in the Church of the future. Actually, I have read of one U.S. parish (I forget where) with a large Spanish-speaking contingent and a not quite so large Portuguese-speaking contingent, with a lot of conflict between the two groups over linguistic and cultural issues.

I admit that learning fluent Latin poses an extra barrier to worship for both prelate and congregant. But then that wouldn't allow for some of the curiousities we've seen in Mass in recent years.
The advantage would be that you don't have to be aware of the curiousities in a language you don't understand. You just follow along in your Missal and read what's supposed to be said.

Just wanted to tell you I went to Holy Trinity on Sunday; I brought my old Missal (actually one I bought in a used book store a few years back; I lost my own in a move) and a mantilla I'd been holding onto for 30 years hoping they'd come back in style (I love them!); a lot of the women wore mantillas.
It was great! The priest went pretty slowly, so I managed to follow along (when I bought my Missal, they only had a Latin-French one, and it's a toss-up whether my Latin or French is better).
I would have asked whether you would be there, but since I spent all of Saturday helping my sister erect an (assembly-required) arbor in her back yard (50 degrees and rain), I was so tired I wasn't even sure whether I'd make it to my local church on Sunday.

I hate to say it, but looking at those pictures, I could believe it was any of them. I think that we're born gay or straight, and that it's because gay men that aren't attracted to women and forbidden to be with men that so many gay men join the priesthood.

Sorry -- I meant to make that a private reply. It's early and I need more tea.

Personally, I believe if they haven't done all they can to purge the filth the has perverted the leadership of the Catholic Church, they are supporting it and are all guilty.
I know and love so many Catholics who are heartbroken by this scandal. They feel betrayed by the lack of any major effort by the leadership of the church to get rid of anyone who perpetuates and contributes to further scandal.
In my eyes, the leadership has been a dismal failure and has caved in to a small but powerful group of immoral radicals.
I think the focus of the media, despite what they are, on the church scandal is a good thing. As long as the eyes of the "body" are on the leadership, the truth will continue to surface and good Christians can reclaim the Catholic Church once again. Until then, relentless pressure must be kept on Catholic leadership, RELENTLESS! It's the only way this "infection of filth" can be cured.

Go ahead, play the innocent.
The fact that you are a very poor researcher who is so quick to shoot from the lip, is incontrovertible.
Be a man and admit that you blundered. It would be a refreshing change.

How dare you insinuate that Liberace was gay!

More things to guess about: The following was in the NY Post this morning, on the infamous Page Six :
"Just asking
WHICH jaunty cleric, who's been all over TV lately criticizing the Catholic bishops, should know his enemies are aware of the convenient living arrangement he has with his woman friend? Since they aren't bound to silence by the seal of the confessional, they might start talking . . ."
Any guesses on this one? McBrien? Greeley? I don't watch TV very much, so I admit that my guesses may be far off the mark - maybe there's another "jaunty cleric" who's been popping up on the screen lately.

"Well, that would be disappointing, as McCarrick seemed to be the point man on the trip to Rome. Maybe that's why."
He was the one who hung around to speak to the press after that gathering in the Vatican last month...the rest seemed to blow off the coverage. I heard good things about his administration in NJ. This is truely sad if he is the one...I expect Egan or Law to be the target of this rumor from the documents bubbling up on them.

I'd be very surprised if it was Cardinal Law - he has been fairly orthodox here and in fact he has cleaned up the seminaries considerably. He is guilty because of his coverup and passing the buck and repeatedly reassigning the evil priests, but I do not think he is a homosexual.
