"Well, that would be disappointing, as McCarrick seemed to be the point man on the trip to Rome. Maybe that's why."
He was the one who hung around to speak to the press after that gathering in the Vatican last month...the rest seemed to blow off the coverage. I heard good things about his administration in NJ. This is truely sad if he is the one...I expect Egan or Law to be the target of this rumor from the documents bubbling up on them.

I'd be very surprised if it was Cardinal Law - he has been fairly orthodox here and in fact he has cleaned up the seminaries considerably. He is guilty because of his coverup and passing the buck and repeatedly reassigning the evil priests, but I do not think he is a homosexual.

I heard good things about his administration in NJ. From where? McCarrick was a disaster. Myers is now trying to clean up the mess McCarrick left in the Archdiocese of Newark.
For example, McCarrick let a pro-death political candidate (McGreevey, a nominal Catholic) hold a campaign event at a Catholic school where a priest was forcibly removed from the event for merely being pro-life. Coleus, do you have the link to the thread on Fr. West handy?
