I urge, then, first of all,
that requests, prayers, intercession,
and thanksgiving be made
for everyone:
for kings and all those in authority
that we may live peaceful and quiet lives
in all godliness and holiness.

Heavenly Father –

Evil seems so strong.

Lies pervade. Propaganda replaces hard news.

We’ve lost our moral ballast and our vision as the light upon a hill.

May we heed the prayers of our Founding Father and first President under the constitution, George Washington, who appealed for help from above during the beginning of our republic.

And during the American Revolution, Washington’s cruisers flew this flag to point where their help came from:

These last days, may all God’s people look to Heaven for our help.

May we heed the warning of President Reagan:

We can’t save ourselves from the slide into the abyss. We have only One Savior.

Grant us a heart of repentance and send revival and healing in our land.

We claim the promise:

And, may we put our trust in You, Lord, as we fight for the soul of our nation.
