The article highlights the Leftist ruthless repression of the Church during the French revolution. A worthy position. The problem with this Pope is that he sees Islam as an equal to be given respect . Islam rountinely does evil in the name of God and must therefore be defeated, not appeased.

I hope they were not so etched, since it would be a “Regerts”-style Latin phrase. The proper spelling is “Hic Ciciderunt”.

Never too late for an individual to be saved, absolutely late for the Catholic Church, this should have never been relinquished, what is the point of being a defender of the faith when you stop defending the faith.
All the Protestant denominations are dying on the vine. Not the Catholic Church. It’s gone through many winters and many springs.
I abhor having to post things from such organizations, but I abhor even more those who argue through assertion
Truth is depending on who you pick and what metric you use You could say either Catholic or Protestant, is growing by numbers, or by giving.
Also, by your logic, Judaism would be superior because it’s still here. It’s been around over twice as long as Catholicism.
None of which justifies the Catholic leadership abdicating its role in defending the faith for decades.
Many have tried to argue away the Catholic Church. There’s nothing that you can write or link to, or, if we were face to face, say that will cause me to leave the Catholic Church. It’s the Church Christ founded. This is where I stand.

I did nothing of the sort to draw you away, all I did was expose the lie through assertion you told. You categorically stated the Church was growing while other denominations were not. Truth is I do not care of that but I do care when someone thinks making up facts somehow serves God, God is truth, always.
I hold no animosity nor desire to detract from the Church. What I observe is leadership failing. Christ called out the Pharisees and Sadducees of the day, we are all called to expose bad practices.

And one other point. I never argued the longevity of the Catholic Church. That’s your inference. It doesn’t matter if the Catholic Church was created last year, 100 years ago, or 5000. Christ founded it and promised he would never leave it. It’s not a man-made church.
He promised he would never leave His Church. I think you will find it hard to find anywhere in the bible where it mentions a specific denomination.
This is why I have concerns with Catholic leaderhsip
Which leader do you believe? Pope or Bishop? Before you can answer that you have to first ask, where do you get the truth from to determine who to believe?
If you say the bible, are you now a Solo Scriptura Catholic?
Why do so many Catholics treat their leadership in a near cult like fashion? Do you not see a problem with such reticence in calling out obvious flaws in a leaders’ doctrine and overall leadership?
