A devout Catholic family in Massachusetts had their 15-year-old daughter taken away from them after they refused to refer to her with male pronouns while her school was secretly socially transitioning her behind the parents’ backs.
Joseph and Arlene Kutzko haven’t been allowed to see their daughter, Sophie, in nearly two years. Since then, the Department of Children and Families (DCF) has housed her in a boys dormitory, put her on birth control pills and antipsychotic medications.
On top of this, their daughter — who previously led the parish in saying the Rosary before Mass — has been stripped of her Catholic faith and has been denied attending Mass.
While the Kutzkos desperately want their daughter to be returned to them, their immediate concern is that the DCF wants to begin giving her high dosage testosterone, which the parents know could irrevocably harm her life.
The Kutzkos, along with their attorney, Vernadette Broyles, told their harrowing story to Fox News Radio host Lauren Green.
The local school system “exposed our daughter to teachings on LGBTQ and topics that conflict with our Catholic beliefs about human dignity, creation as male and female, and Catholic teaching,” Joseph Kutzko said.
He explained that while he and his wife had been told that their daughter was staying after school for “extra math help,” the reality was that she was receiving secret counseling at Algonquin Regional High School.
Sophie’s parents had no idea about the subterfuge going on in her life until she was snatched away from them by the state.
“We didn’t find out until after she was removed,” Joseph said. “It came on like a tornado.”
The parents have filed a motion with the court to make clear that giving testosterone to a female is extraordinary, controversial, experimental, and harmful.”
As such, Sophie’s parents are fighting to keep DCF from “poisoning” their daughter. Testosterone treatments could cause her to become infertile, harm her cardiovascular system, and cause any number of irreversible effects to her body.
Nonetheless, “DCF wants to proceed with this,” Broyles said.
Boyles noted that this is happening in jurisdictions across the nation because the Biden administration had directed states to identify parents as “unsafe” if they did not affirm their child’s asserted sexual identity.
In most states, parents are prevented from speaking out about this, threatened with being held in contempt of court, according to Broyles, so families everywhere are suffering in silence.
Green said that the state of Massachusetts is “committing horrible crimes against this family.”
“In Massachusetts today, a sizable portion of government and the population will call you a good mom if you violently strangle your own three kids to death but will take custody of your teenage daughter away from you if you don’t want her to be castrated & mutilated by the gender lobby,” The Daily Wire’s Isabel Brown declared on X. “Let that sink in.”
The “state taking ownership of a child is a communist’s dream. In a just society, there would be a societal uproar,” activist Riley Gaines noted.
“Parents should NEVER have to coparent with the government. Please help this family and their daughter,” Gaines urged.
“This is absolutely INSANE this is happening in America!” Republican U.S. Rep. Greg Steube of Florida stressed. “Since when does a school counselor have more control over a child than their own parents!”
“Horrific. Family policy is a top priority for a multitude of reasons, not least of which is the right of parents to direct the upbringing of their own children without fear of having them taken by the state for raising them in accordance with their biological sex,” Heritage Foundation president Kevin Roberts said. “I think most voters would agree.”
“Here, a public school is ‘stuck on stupid’ by engaging in the willful and dehumanizing practice of destroying both family and child. This school should be closed permanently,” Walt Heyer, senior fellow at the Family Research Council, told The Washington Stand. Heyer, founder of the “sex change regret” website, detransitioned years ago and has been an outspoken advocate against transgender ideology ever since.
“The school abused the child emotionally and psychologically, causing lifelong damage,” Heyer said. “My life was destroyed by the trans insanity. Stop the madness.”
“This is state-sanctioned kidnapping of a teenage Catholic girl, with the intent to commit bodily harm,” declared former FDNY battalion chief Tom Lapolla, now a medical freedom activist. “Shame on our leaders if they can’t fix this immediately.”

Pwehaps, now that it is too late, they undesrstand that they were complicit by virtue of ignorance as to what they are capable of doing, and there is no recourse in that state, because they have total control.

It wasn’t that long ago that teachers and administrators who revealed that they believed secretly encouraging schoolchildren to “be” the sex opposite to the one they actually are would have been fired immediately.
Is it really true that now an entire U.S. state is endorsing such secrecy?
What happened to the self-respect of parents in that state?

The teachers and administration were acting in accordance with current Catholic doctrine as espoused by the current Pope.

“nearly two years.” Evil is lurking in the school system. Prayers to Jesus needs to be said daily in public schools.
Only the conversion therapy that attempts to get them OUT of the trans cult.
I doubt that she would want to attend church anymore, but why would the church ban her from attending? That is terrible. She needs God more than anything else, and they shut the door on her.
They can always kill the people housing their daughter, state officials that allowed it then claim postpartum depression.
