Most say Enoch and Elijah because the never died. Also, one is a Gentile , and one is a Jew.

Moses died. Unless you believe in reincarnation it isn’t Moses.

It is appointed to all men once to die.

There are two men in the Bible who have not died…. Yet. Who are they?

According to Jewish tradition (The Assumption of Moses, which was quoted in Jude 9-10), Moses was taken into heaven like Enoch and Elijah. He also appeared on Mt. Tabor with Elijah (Matthew 17:1-8). If God wants Moses to appear again, he will appear again because nothing is impossible for God.

My opinion is Moses and Elijah...the Law and the Prophets. Seems like the description of plagues and fire devouring enemies match activities attributed to them. Also weren’t these two with Jesus at his transfiguration?

As long as I’m not here but in heaven with the Lord at that time, I’ll be fine!

As for the appointment, that does not include the believers alive at the time of the Lord’s descent promised in 1 Th 4.13ff. And Paul said in 1 Co 15.51, “We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed.”

I can’t remember being late for one
My entire Life-—I’m serious.
I’d rather be a half hour early than Two minutes Late ! Time is one of Gods Creations that has been Special for me.
The End of This Age is certainly coming and seems to be Lining up as Predicted But even a Freight Train is Intimidating at Speed !

The Bible explicitly states that Moses died. Deuterotomy 34:5. So I’ll stick with Enoch and Elijah.

If Moses was resurrected, then he could not die again.

The two witnesses have to die.

It is appointed to men to die once. Heb 9:27.

So it has to be men who have not died, yet.

Yes, we are told that Moses had died, but then at the Transfiguration we are also told he appeared on earth again. It doesn't say it was his ghost or some kind of vision; the plain reading is that he was on Mt. Tabor just as Elijah was "appearing with Jesus".

If God can cause Moses to appear on earth once, he can cause him to appear again. No reincarnation needed.

Could be two that come out of the great tribulation, jewish, males, virgins. After 3.5 years, their ministry will end at the sounding of the seventh trumpet. The Church will be taken up to heaven and will be spared from the seven bowls of God’ wrath. Those who have accepted the mark of the beast must remain on Earth and endure judgment.

The two witnesses as written in the book of the Apocalypse (the revelation of st. john of patmos) was written before the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD -- their identity is clearly given in the text

11 I was given a reed like a measuring rod and was told, “Go and measure the temple of God and the altar, with its worshipers. 2 But exclude the outer court; do not measure it, because it has been given to the Gentiles. They will trample on the holy city for 42 months.

3 And I will appoint my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for 1,260 days, clothed in sackcloth.”

4 They are “the two olive trees” and the two lampstands, and “they stand before the Lord of the earth.”[a] 5 If anyone tries to harm them, fire comes from their mouths and devours their enemies. This is how anyone who wants to harm them must die. 6 They have power to shut up the heavens so that it will not rain during the time they are prophesying; and they have power to turn the waters into blood and to strike the earth with every kind of plague as often as they want.

7 Now when they have finished their testimony, the beast that comes up from the Abyss will attack them, and overpower and kill them. 8 Their bodies will lie in the public square of the great city—which is figuratively called Sodom and Egypt—where also their Lord was crucified.

Now:

1. 2 But exclude the outer court; do not measure it, because it has been given to the Gentiles. They will trample on the holy city for 42 months. -- for 42 months = 3.5 years = 1260 days (approx).
   
   this references to the book of Daniel and the destruction of the 1st temple - In John’s day, Daniel 12:7 was understood as a prophecy concerning the conquering and desecration of the temple by Antiochus Epiphanes, who persecuted the Jews for three and a half years. John’s use, then, of phrases, such as “three and a half years” (or “days”), “forty-two months,” or “1,260 days,” evoke the prior desecration by Antiochus. By prophesying about a coming forty-two months, John compares the coming destruction by the Romans to something the Jews had already experienced.
   
   The first Roman-Jewish war lasted for 3.5 years, ie 42 months - from mid 66 AD to 70 AD
   
   
2. where also their Lord was crucified.

   WHERE was "their Lord crucified"? --- Their Lord, i.e. Jesus was crucified in Jerusalem
   
   

3. The two witnesses are likened to two “olive trees” and two “lamps.” This is probably a reference to Zechariah 4. There, two olive trees continually provide oil for the lamps in the temple. The meaning of the passage is explained to Zechariah: the temple in Jerusalem will be built despite the resistance of those who oppose it because it has God’s anointing (Zech. 4:1–6). These two witnesses, therefore, come to warn of the destruction of the earthly temple.
   
   
4. The two witnesses are those who have power to “stop the rain,” “turn water into blood,” and bring forth “plagues.” These images are associated with Moses and Elijah. Together, Moses and Elijah symbolize the two major parts of the Old Testament—the Law and the Prophets.
   
   
5. The image here, therefore, is that the Old Testament is now bearing witness against Israel. Moreover, Christians who preach the Gospel in Jerusalem are God’s witnesses against the city.
