The US was founded as a Christian nation.
The secular left today does its usual gymnastics with revisionist ideas and excluding key facts, to play make belief otherwise.
What the US was NOT founded as, was any specific denomination. Our founding fathers were very aware of the conflict that is possible.
If you go back to the late 1700s, the idea of religious conflict/tension, even wars between Catholics and Protestants, the problems between the Catholics and Anglicans, was still very real. People did not even marry across these lines for the most part, that was taboo. Today people don’t even perceive this idea anymore.

No one in 1776 was ignorant to the fact that many had been slaughtered in these wars that had affected Germany, France, England, the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Italy. Most of our founding fathers were very well read and educated.
The concept of separation between church and state has been “reinterpreted” in modern days to mean something entirely different than what what it originally meant or was intended for. It was so that we don’t tear ourselves apart and fight amongst each other.

So you have the idea of oath of office (why would you have that if the US wasn’t Christian based?), BUT there is no test: “but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States.” Last sentence Article 4. Why no test? Because a test would mean specific ideas and concepts of how this Christian faith is interpreted now come into play.

Yep. In 1776. Would you rather have it been founded by Muslims who owned slaves? They did (and some still do) you know. Or by Hindus who owned slaves. The did as well. Or Buddhists who owned slaves. Or even Animist's in Africa who owned slaves and sold slaves.
In 1776, slavery was everywhere, practiced by virtually every culture. It was around that time that Christians began seeing that slavery was wrong. Before that, no one thought it was wrong. They just thought it was the way things were. It was Christian thought during the enlightenment that created the idea that slavery was wrong.
Plus, it could not have been founded, and so successful, if not based upon Judeo/Christian principles.
The repeated calls about “is US Cristian?” is by commie trash who want those who embrace the US culture to reject it — like they might reject the call to found a nation upon Sharia. It is the principles that matter, not what is at the altar.
Ameerica was founded on several concepts.
1) Facts, Truth are objective and not subjective.
2) Beliefs are subjective.
3) A person becomes a Christian or Jew, a Catholic or Baptist or Methodist by believing that way of describing reality.
This is a Judeo-Christian View. But it is not far from a Hindu or Bhuddist view from a societal perspective. Muslim and several lesser views are further from the Founders views.

I had always assumed that it was founded to be a Christian nation. There seemed to be many things to indicate that was the intention.Things have changed a lot, tho, & I wouldn’t say that the US isn’t a Christian nation today,but there are many things to indicate at least that it certainly is far from 100%.
