It’s not even a question.
The US was founded as a Christian nation.
The secular left today does its usual gymnastics with revisionist ideas and excluding key facts, to play make belief otherwise.
What the US was NOT founded as, was any specific denomination. Our founding fathers were very aware of the conflict that is possible.
If you go back to the late 1700s, the idea of religious conflict/tension, even wars between Catholics and Protestants, the problems between the Catholics and Anglicans, was still very real. People did not even marry across these lines for the most part, that was taboo. Today people don’t even perceive this idea anymore.

No one in 1776 was ignorant to the fact that many had been slaughtered in these wars that had affected Germany, France, England, the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Italy. Most of our founding fathers were very well read and educated.
The concept of separation between church and state has been “reinterpreted” in modern days to mean something entirely different than what what it originally meant or was intended for. It was so that we don’t tear ourselves apart and fight amongst each other.

So you have the idea of oath of office (why would you have that if the US wasn’t Christian based?), BUT there is no test: “but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States.” Last sentence Article 4. Why no test? Because a test would mean specific ideas and concepts of how this Christian faith is interpreted now come into play.
