For behold, your enemies make an uproar; those who hate you have raised their heads. They lay crafty plans against your people; they consult together against your treasured ones. They say, “Come, let us wipe them out as a nation; let the name of Israel be remembered no more!”

Do to them as you did to Midian, as to Sisera and Jabin at the river Kishon, who were destroyed at En-dor, who became dung for the ground. Make their nobles like Oreb and Zeeb, all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna, who said, “Let us take possession for ourselves of the pastures of God.”
O my God, make them like whirling dust, like chaff before the wind. As fire consumes the forest, as the flame sets the mountains ablaze, so may you pursue them with your tempest and terrify them with your hurricane! Fill their faces with shame, that they may seek your name, O Lord. Let them be put to shame and dismayed forever; let them perish in disgrace, that they may know that you alone, whose name is the Lord, are the Most High over all the earth.
Father, Though these verses were written thousands of years ago, they are still applicable to our times. Many politicians have risen up against You and are working to overthrow all that is righteous and just at all levels of the government. We think again of the seemingly lesser offices at state and local levels. We have a tendency to see them as less important than federal elections, but in reality they're probably more important. Much of the corruption occurs at the grassroots level and spreads.
So we lift up our local leaders, politicians, and elections. Please give us godly men and women to be in office at all levels of the government. Some elections I am aware of is for governor of California. Please, Lord, soundly defeat the democrat corruption and vote fraud. I ask that Steve Hilton be elected as governor. I also pray for the local US House race here in NH and ask that You would, in Your mercy, have Lily Tang Williams be elected as Rep, and that the republican candidate (likely Sununu) be elected governor to keep the democrats from further destroying the state.
In ancient Israel, You told Elijah that You have 7,000 who had not bowed the knee to Baal. We ask that You would give us political leaders that have not yet bowed the knee to progressive, socialist agenda with it's bent on destruction of the family and justice system. While we vote and do what we can, we ask that You'd rise up and oppose those who have declared themselves to be in opposition to You. Defeat them and remove them from office or running for election. Let local offices be filled with godly men and women.
We pray for protection of our local, often volunteer, fire departments and EMTs. Especially protect LEOs as they respond to calls that put their lives in danger.
Give local officials wisdom and discernment to make good and godly decisions.
Please, motivate Your people to get out and vote for godly platforms. Lead us into repentance and restore our nation to a more righteous one again.
Thank You for the answer to our prayers, knowing that You will answer them according to what You know is best to fulfill Your plans. And we'll praise You for it.
