The Burning Man event welcomes all attendees from all walks of life to the Black Rock Desert for 10 days of festivities with a philosphy of radical inclusion; however, one group is alleging that it was unfairly excluded from the event.
On Tuesday, the Christian missionary camp Shift the Atmosphere was asked to pack up its belongings and leave the playa. According to videos posted on Instagram by camp member John Hinerman, the complaint stemmed from the camp engaging in nonconsensual activity, including filming Burning Man attendees and encouraging them to “receive a blessing.” Burning Man has strict rules regarding privacy, and no photos or videos that show attendees faces’ are allowed to be taken without permission.
“Burning Man takes participants’ right to privacy seriously,” said Burning Man spokesperson Dominique Debucquoy-Dodley. “Seeking permission and consent before filming or engaging other participants in Black Rock City is a requirement and responsibility for anyone at the event. This camp received multiple warnings and opportunities to correct their behavior, yet continued to violate our policies and were therefore evicted.”
Hinerman’s videos allege that the camp was being discriminated against based on its religion and that its members were given only three hours to pack their belongings. The camp alleges that over 600 attendees had “given their lives to Jesus,” with the group conducting baptisms on the playa in small water tanks. Some commenters on Reddit noted that the use of communal water on human bodies violates Burning Man’s rules regarding no public pools or showers, which stem from Nevada’s state health department.

Going to Burning Man was never on my Bucket List, and honestly I believe this group was there just to try and stir up stuff.
I remember there was some other religious group / church who did that but I don’t remember their name, I think it was something like Westboro or something but they were all lawyers and really in my opinion worshiped money..
I mean if they really wanted to do good they should go to one of the other more elite gatherings where they worship Baal or something

Yeah right. Meanwhile there’s bodycam video from a Burning Man a few years back where a woman reported a sexual assault and the “staff” there did everything they could to obstruct the local sheriff’s department investigation of it. On camera. And they were so incredibly smug about it.
(IIRC the “sexual assault” ended up being some sort of innocent non-sexual cuddle that the woman agreed to and then freaked out. She refused to press charges.)

Today, tens of thousands of people are gathered in Nevada’s Black Rock Desert for Burning Man.
The event began in 1986, when a small group gathered on Baker Beach in San Francisco and burned an eight-foot wooden figure. In 1990, it moved to the Nevada desert, where it grew into a massive annual gathering centered around art, music, radical self-expression, and the ceremonial burning of a giant human figure.
For one week, participants build a temporary city in the desert. They arrive in elaborate costumes, construct enormous art installations, dance through the night, and pursue what many describe as spiritual connection, personal transformation, and freedom from the conventions of ordinary life.
To the world, Burning Man is an innocent celebration of art, community, and self-expression.
But look more closely.
Beneath the lights, costumes, fire, and music are unmistakable echoes of ancient pagan worship - ritual, altered consciousness, sexual immorality, self-deification, and the burning of a human figure before a massive crowd.
What we are witnessing is not merely another festival. It is a picture of mankind’s ancient spiritual problem dressed in modern clothing.

We are watching both unfold before our eyes.
People are constantly running from one place, experience, and spiritual pursuit to another, while human knowledge increases at an unprecedented speed.
We may soon have an iPhone 18. AI can already provide instant answers, and robots will soon perform many of our daily tasks.
Yet increased knowledge has not produced truth, righteousness, or peace. Technology can make life easier, but it cannot heal the human heart. Artificial intelligence can provide answers, but it cannot provide salvation.
Jeremiah remains painfully correct:
“The heart is deceitful above all things,
And desperately wicked;
Who can know it?”
Jeremiah 17:9
People travel the world, explore every philosophy, experiment with every substance, and pursue every spiritual experience in search of freedom, identity, meaning, and peace.
They have knowledge.
They have zeal.
But they still do not know the Messiah.
The real problem of mankind is not a lack of education, creativity, freedom, or spiritual experiences. It is sin. The human heart is separated from God, enslaved to its own desires, and incapable of saving itself.
Deep inside, people know that they cannot save themselves. Yet they do not necessarily want God - because God requires repentance, surrender, and accountability.
Satan offers a counterfeit spirituality without holiness, worship without truth, freedom without accountability, and temporary escape without salvation.
But Yeshua the Messiah offers something entirely different.
He did not come to help us escape reality for one week. He came to set us free from the sin that rules our hearts. He did not come merely to improve our lives. He came to give us new life.
Yeshua took upon Himself the judgment our sins deserved, died in our place, and rose again. Through repentance and faith in Him, we receive forgiveness, reconciliation with God, a new heart, and freedom from the guilt, penalty, and power of sin.
That is real freedom.
“Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.”

Ancient paganism continues returning because the human heart remains unchanged. The names have changed. Technology has advanced. But mankind’s emptiness remains the same.
Man does not need another festival, ritual, substance, experience, or technological breakthrough.
He needs forgiveness.
He needs a new heart.
He needs salvation.
He needs Yeshua.
Sounds like a target-rich environment.
I remember that. The amount of staff from burning man, with all these fancy made up titles, that seems to appear out of nowhere was honestly amazing. Assuming that case wasn’t legitimate, it still begs the question, what else have they managed to actually cover up?

Burning Man is a rich person’s LARPing as dirty hippies. They will fly down and pick up their gear, which is stored at a gypsum mine, pay thousands of dollars to stay away from the dirty hippies, then have assistants pack up and put everything back in storage.
There is a sign in Gerlach, just south of the playa, “keep your stinky hippy asses out of our city.”
Of course Satan doesn’t want Christians in his arena.

They have to have security so people after a week of drugging don’t run into the fire and die.
Best thing about Covid is it shut down this garbage for s couple of years.
