Sometimes it's those with the least that give the most. Jesus used a widow's offering to teach a lesson of giving from the heart.
Now Jesus sat opposite the treasury and saw how the people put money into the treasury.It's easy to give when what you give does not even effect you, but when was the last time you went out of your way to give more than you thought the person deserved? Now I am not saying one should go broke or end up homeless because you gave all away, but to give a smidgen when you have enough to truly make a difference in their situation is what Christ expects from us. Instead of fifty cents, maybe enough for a good breakfast or lunch. Or, if after reading this, and the Lord moves you, you could do more. Basically, I speak of the kind of love Christ wants from us.
And many who were rich put in much. Then one poor widow came and threw in two mites,
which make a quadrans. So He called His disciples to Himself and said to them;"Assuredly, I say to you that this poor widow has put in more than all those who have given to the treasury;
for they all put in out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty put in all that she had, her whole livelihood." Mark 12:41-44
But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.2 Corinthians 9:6-8
God knows your heart, and He knows if you are reluctant to share what he has blessed you with. Remember, all you have came from God, and but for Him you could be the homeless one begging. Don't think it could happen to you? Well I ask you to consider how quickly Job went from being a wealthy prominent man in the land, to sitting on the ground with nothing as he scrapped the sores off his skin with a broken piece of pottery.
Mind you, it was not because Job was a bad manager of his money, or because....

It depends mostly if I’m rendering unto Caesar or something/someone of my own choosing.
If your hesitant you shouldn’t be giving in the first place.
OBTW, giving isn’t limited to money....time and talents are to be included as well.
1 Timothy 5:8
But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.
2 Thessalonians 3:10
For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.

Mat 25:41 “Then He will also say to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels:
Mat 25:42 for I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink;
Mat 25:43 I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.’
Mat 25:44 “Then they also will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?’
Mat 25:45 Then He will answer them, saying, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’
Mat 25:46 And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”
This is always a good question to ponder. Jesus said to sell your possessions and give to the poor. But that was a commandment for personal improvement more than for the improvement of the lives of the poor. If we have attachment to wealth, we will be corrupt and not able to achieve the perfection that God wants for all of us. Simply giving to the poor - "more than they deserve" - could be just as bad as throwing your wealth in the furnace. If, by this statement, the author means that we should not make personal judgments about what people deserve, OK. Fair point. But if there is an objective measure of what people deserve, then no, we should not give people more than they deserve. Jesus commands us to give away our entire life savings to poor people, but not to poor people who would spend the money on booze and drugs.

which make a quadrans.””
Years ago when my grandson was in a Christian preschool, he told his mother when he got home that he had to take money with him to school the next day because the “woman” didn’t have any more money. My daughter found out that was the day’s lesson...She told the teacher when they went to the school the next morning why he had coins with him and the teacher told him he could put it in the collection box. A lesson I hope he never forgets..
Don’t trust anyone to faithfully transfer my riches to those in need.
Even religious outfits have been corrupted, see the pedos in the Catholic Church or the LuggButt supporters in the Protestant sects. No one will clean their house.
