God is our refuge and strength,

Holy God,

In the storms of nature, in the trials of life, and in all circumstances, You are God. You are our Refuge, our Fortress, our Strong Tower, our Sure Defense. Make us to dwell in the shadow of Your wings until the calamities in both war and in peace pass by. Protect America from the fierce storm of clamor and disunity; and in Your own omnipotent way, we ask for good to come to this nation and all those who call You LORD.

Mighty God, Our forefathers prayed for the early colonies, petitioning Your will to be done as our fledgling nation was formed. How faithful You have been throughout the years! We come before You now also, for Your promise is to bless the nation that turns to You and chooses to follow Your Truth. Lord, the divide is growing as many are vocally seeking change that will lead us away from our Constitution and our obedience to You. Strengthen us, Father, and give us the courage to stand against the wiles of the devil. Let us not be deceived: our lives do make a difference even against all the worldliness, against false teachings, against false gods in this culture, and against spiritual wickedness. But the message of the Gospel is still alive, and the manner in which we represent Your Kingdom each day is still able to bring salt and light to a dark world. Let us not be shamed or intimidated to remain silent when we see with our own eyes, hear with our own ears, and know in our own hearts that there is a genuine attempt to destroy that which so many have given their lives to defend. May Your courage be our strength for You will surely stand with us to help us.

Bless our President, Lord, with the comfort of Your presence, the joy of Your strength, the assurance of Your faithfulness, and the enabling grace to do all that You have called him to do. Defend and avenge him. Lord, and rescue our beloved nation from those who want to turn it upside down. Stir up Your people and our legislators to stand for life, truth, freedom, and for our right to worship as we please. Give the true patriots of this nation the courage to defend the Constitution and to stand strong against all those who wish to destroy the One Nation under God that You helped us to form. Lord, have mercy upon us, according to Your lovingkindness and Your compassion.

We pray for all Christians to vote for people of integrity, and that the upcoming mid-term election would be run with honesty, with results computed fairly, swiftly, and accurately. We stand united in Your Word that gives us the power and authority to pray in confident faith that absolutely no weapon formed against this nation shall prosper.

We exalt You, O God, above the heavens. May Your glory be praised this day and forevermore. Thank You for being the God of America, the God of all creation, the One Who remains the same, even in these turbulent times. We love You, we need You; and we are grateful for Your unending love and Your amazing grace. In the Name above all names, Jesus Christ. we pray. Amen.
