America Prayer Vigil

Join with fellow FREEPERS to pray for AMERICA: For those in Authority in Government, Family, Military, Business, Agri-Business; End to Sex Slavery; Healthcare, Education, Churches, and the Media. This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. (1 John 5:14)

I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone: for kings and all those in authority that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. ~ 1 Timothy 2:1-2

Capitol Connections is IFA’s government-focused relationship-building initiative for intercessors. Today we are joining them in praying for those in authority and their staff to have a sound mind.

*We pray that our leaders will trust the Lord and not partner with lies. “It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in man. It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in princes” (Psalm118:8-9)
We pray that they will focus on the job and not jump ahead, leaving things unfinished. “Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow,for tomorrow will worry about itself. Today has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34)
* We pray, Father, that every care will be cast at the feet of Jesus. “Cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you” (1 Peter5:7).
*We pray that they will renew their minds and set them on what is good, pure, and lovely. “Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory. Put to death therefore what is earthly in you: sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry” (Colossians 3:2-5).
*We pray that they will reach out to the Lord when the weight is too heavy. “I cry out to the LORD; I plead for the LORD’s mercy. I pour out my complaints before him and tell him all my troubles. When I am overwhelmed, you alone know the way I should turn” (Psalm 142:1-3).
*We pray for the peace of God to overtake them. “And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:7)

Father, thank You for the multiplied agreement as we join with IFA (Intercessors for America). We trust You and Your love for us and them to see to it in the name of Jesus.
