I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone:
for kings and all those in authority that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.
For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus. -1 Timothy 2:1-4

Heavenly Father,
Without You, we can rely only on our own, inadequate human strength. We cannot be truly victorious separated from You. But because You are with us, we do not fear, no matter what happens. You care. You carry our burdens. You deliver us. Thank You, Precious Lord. There is none like You.
We pray that our military men and women would be strengthened by You this day---each in his own way, according to Your knowledge of them as their Creator. And may Your Name be glorified in each life.
Thank You for the prayers that are lifted up daily throughout this nation to support America and its leaders. Please grant wisdom and understanding to President Trump that he and his military leaders may make wise decisions regarding the war in Iran. Hear our prayer for a solution and peaceful ending that comes soon. And may the Gospel be shared with all those in the Middle East who do not know Jesus Christ.
Bless Your people, Israel, Lord with Your protection and with the desire to know the Savior You have sent for all people. Lead our nation away from the dangerous and sinful territory that many have entered. We need You, Lord. Give our pastors and priests the strength and courage to speak the truth about all things that pertain to life and godliness. May every issue be addressed according to Your Word.
We acknowledge You as the Answer to everything we face---as a people and as a nation, both now and forever. Be exalted, Gracious Lord, above the heavens. May Jesus Christ be glorified both now and evermore. We pray this in our Savior's holy and awesome Name. Amen.
