AMERICA PRAYER VIGIL - MAY 24, 2026

Join with fellow FREEPERS to pray for AMERICA: For those in Authority in Government, Family, Military, Business, Healthcare, Education, Churches, and the Media. I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone: for kings and all those in authority that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus. -1 Timothy 2:1-4 Religion Forum threads labeled “Prayer” are closed to debate of any kind.

Lord God,

We remember them with love and gratitude. Though their faces and names may not have ever been known to us, yet we dare not forget them---the many brave soldiers of the past who gave their lives in defense of our freedom. We remember the families who grieved for them----the children who lost their father or brother, their uncle, sister, or even their mother. Lord, we remember the parents who mourned for the sons and daughters who never came home. May they all be blessed for the love they have shown.

Father, please accept our humble thanks that President Trump was kept safe from the shooter who attempted to invade the White House . Please comfort and defend any victims that were harmed in the shooting. Lord. we bless our Secret Service and the D.C Police who were on duty.

We confess that we take for granted that which so many paid for with their lives. We know that freedom comes at a tremendous price, and yet a country that values liberty is the very best place to live. Father, help us to recognize You as the Source of true freedom and to seek You and the precious law of liberty that You have provided.

Lord, the enemies of America seem to be bolder than ever and we cry out to You for help. We know that we cannot fight this battle without You, for You are our Banner and Shield, our Defender and Avenger. We ask You to protect our nation from its destruction by those who hate us----both those in other countries as well as those within America. We pray that America would forever stand with Israel and that there would be many blessings that will come out of our support. May the borders of both countries be firmly established, honored, and defended.

Thank You, Lord, for our country. In spite of our disobedience, You continue to bless us with loving kindness and tender mercies. We ask for You to lead us to repentance and to help each of us to return to the center of Your will. Father, all our woes are caused by our turning away from You. Our wounds are sometimes self-inflicted. We have remained silent as freedom after freedom has been stripped from us. Help Your church to rise up and defend our Constitution and the liberties that so many have fought to preserve. Help us to return to You, Father, for the sake of our children and grandchildren. Help us to boldly proclaim Your Name and Your truth throughout this land.

Lord, we ask for Your guidance and protection for President Trump, Vice-President Vance, the cabinet members, and the judiciary. Protect our men and women in uniform, Father, as our nation deals with volatile situations throughout our nation and the world. Thank You for those who are signing up to serve. May You reward their willingness to help the people of these United States and other nations.

Father, it is good that America give pause this Memorial Day weekend. Help us to do so with honor and respect. Thank You, Lord, for the blessings You heap upon our beloved nation----including these brave warriors throughout our history. Most of all we thank You for our Precious Savior, our never-failing Defender forever. You are the One we worship and follow both now and evermore. In the Mighty and Awesome Name of Jesus Christ, we gratefully join together across America, united in our love for You, Lord. Blessed is Your Holy and Awesome Name. Amen.

Psalm 91

1 You who live in the shelter of the Most High,
who abide in the shadow of the Almighty,*
2 will say to the Lord, ‘My refuge and my fortress;
my God, in whom I trust.’
3 For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler
