I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone: for kings and all those in authority that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus.
1 Timothy 2:1-4

Lord, we humbly come before You, interceding on behalf of our diseased culture. Lord, our culture suffers because we have neglected our inheritance, a republic founded upon Your Divine Precepts. The symptoms of our poor health include a bankrupt government, a twisted judicial system, relaxed morals, and unemployable youth. Lord, help us to repent and be healed. Help us to seek restoration in You. Help us to welcome You back into our communities, our institutions, and our culture.
You are The Great Physician. We know that You have the power over life and death. Help us as a nation to choose life. Help us to once again be One Nation Under God, not just in words, but in thoughts and deeds. Revive our culture in You, Dear Lord. Revive us in You.
In Jesus’ name we do pray.
Amen!
Amen
Amen to your prayer, especially the part of unemployable youth. May your answer be given for that even if it is painful.
Joining in prayer. God bless.
Amen.
Amen
Praying for a hedge of protection around out Leaders, that evil will be rebuked away from them. Praying for our Troops in harms way. Amen.
Amen to all your petitions to our Mighty God. Thank you for leading us on this beautiful Lord’s Day.
Father, please guide our President in making wise decisions this week and always. Protect all those who are in service to this nation. God bless America, in the Name of Jesus, Amen.

Antipascha: Saint Thomas Sunday (Orthodox)

....Some icons depicting this event are inscribed “The Doubting Thomas.” This is incorrect. In Greek, the inscription reads, “The Touching of Thomas.” The Slavonic inscription is, “The Belief of Thomas.” When Saint Thomas touched the Life-giving side of the Lord, he no longer had any doubts.
This day is also known as “Antipascha.” This does not mean “opposed to Pascha,” but “in place of Pascha.” Beginning with this first Sunday after Pascha, the Church dedicates every Sunday of the year to the Lord’s Resurrection. Sunday is called “Resurrection” in Russian, and “the Lord’s Day” in Greek.....
Troparion
From the sealed tomb, You did shine forth O Life! / Through closed doors You did come to Your disciples, O Christ God! / Renew in us, through them, an upright spirit, / by the greatness of Your mercy, O Resurrection of all!
Kontakion
Thomas touched Your life-giving side with an eager hand, O Christ God, / when You did come to Your apostles through closed doors. / He cried out with all: You are my Lord and my God!
St. Thomas’s real problem was not doubt, but being late! May God bless and forgive all of us who have the same problem! Amen!
