Last year, Paula White offered her followers seven Easter blessings for a gift of $1,000. This Holy Week, she’s using support for Israel as a motivation to give money to her.
In addition to being a health-and-wealth televangelist — soundly critiqued by most of mainstream Christianity — White leads President Donald Trump’s White House Office of Faith.
This year, she’s drawing on the Trump administration’s unflinching support for the Israeli government by claiming a gift to her ministry is a gift to support Israel. White is a staunch Zionist and recently kicked a conservative evangelical woman off Trump’s Religious Liberty Commission for suggesting Israel was guilty of genocide in Gaza.
In a video message this year, White seamlessly connects giving to her ministry as a means of supporting Israel and humanitarian aid there. She urges her listeners to “honor God with his tithe, that’s the first tenth of your gross income, and an offering that’s free will.”
While nearly all Christian churches teach the principle of tithing, they do so as an offering through a local church, not to a televangelist or even a parachurch ministry.
“It takes money for ministry,” White says in the video. She then claims her ministry is helping single moms and victims of human trafficking, prisoners and the hungry, as well as Israelis suffering from “the horrific attacks of October 7.”
“Thank you for being that person that’s holding up the hands for the gospel to go forth. So go ahead and click on that link right there on the screen or you can give by Cash App or Venmo or PayPal or however you want to.”

Paula White DOES supports various charitable and humanitarian efforts through Paula White Ministries, often in partnership with other organizations. Her work focuses on disaster relief, food distribution, and community support both in the U.S. and internationally
Her ministry reports distributing over 30 million pounds of food in the last four years and millions of dollars in furniture and household goods to families in need or transitioning from homelessness.
White has provided emergency meals and supplies to crisis zones, including Ukraine, Romania, and Haiti. Domestically, she has supported relief efforts for hurricane victims in Florida and North Carolina, and wildfire victims in Hawaii.

Odd that White should mention “gross income”. Unless she’s just out for the money. Then it’s not odd at all.
As a side note, many (most?) folks do not have 10% of their gross income available for discretionary spending. So giving 10% of the gross would put them in debt.
Not that White cares about that.
The “prosperity gospel” says that if you do A, B, and C,then God HAS to give you money. He has no choice (according to the hucksters).

The Mormons do that, they formally require 10% of gross, and they will investigate you if their biennial interview warrants it.

I can’t remember what Bible verse discussed gross income vs net regarding tithing. These idiots are hilarious. Did Jesus allow any deductions the faithful can take? Any exemptions for kids?

By the way, Jesus does not command tithing. He only mentions it to mock the Pharisees.. The New Testament says to give generously, freely. But the preacher sure love that Old Testament Jewish law 10% command. She’s just a huckster.
