I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone: for kings and all those in authority that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. ~ 1 Timothy 2:1-2

Today, Father, we want to praise You for Your Word. It gave us Salvation and a seating with You, It is a lamp unto our feet and light unto our path. It encourages and strengthens us and exposes evil. It is our Life.
We mourn for those who are sitting in darkness with a veil over their eyes that keep them from seeing and discerning the Truth of Your salvation and the basic “common sense” truths of everyday living. You said, “Because of and through the heart of tender mercy and loving-kindness of our God, a Light from on high will dawn upon us and visit [us] To shine upon and give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to direct and guide our feet in a straight line into the way of peace.” Luke 1:78-79 You also said, “In Him was Life, and the Life was the Light of men. And the Light shines on in the darkness, for the darkness has never overpowered it [put it out or absorbed it or appropriated it, and is unreceptive to it]. (John 1)
We were all under that veil before Your precious Holy Spirit sent Your Word and enlightened us. We stand in agreement here with each other in asking for enlightenment for family, friends, co-workers and neighbors aligned with any person who comes to this prayer site today. Out of Your mercy and compassion by Your power, transfer them out of the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of Your Beloved Son.
We also stand in agreement for those who are in positions of authority in every village, school, city, county, State and Federal office. Convict them concerning righteousness and let the fresh wind of Truth move their decisions. Give us Truth seekers and followers in these upcoming elections.
Psalm 99: The strength of the king who loves righteousness and equity You establish in uprightness; You execute justice and righteousness in (our United States of America)
Keep Your followers currently serving in public office strong. Give them discernment and witness to them in their spirits when something comes at them that runs contrary to Your will. We ask You for their protection.
Once again, we petition You for our military and first responders. Keep them safe with Your mighty Heavenly Host.
Thank You, Father, for entrance into Your throne room this day in Jesus’ name. Amen.

We pray for those at war against Christianity. We pray that they can put away their hate and anger, and that they will seek the peace and joy to be called a child of God.
