I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone: for kings and all those in authority that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus.

Too many believe the lies. Too many have become dull, insensitive to sin, not able to recognize the difference between right and wrong. Our disobedience has wrought promiscuity, deteriorated work ethic, and promoted idolatry. Abortion and witchcraft are socially acceptable. Shame no longer governs our society.
Lord, we pray that our culture will turn away from the dark side and will seek Your Perfect Light. We pray this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen

So very AMEN, thank you SisterK. Joining in prayer.
Amen to the Truth. Praying in agreement. It’s time for repentance and action.
Amen.
Adding my prayers. God bless.
Thank you for your word and prayer. Wondering who was really behind Charlie’s death besides Satan. The ladder could go quite high. But our God is higher! Lord Jesus, awaken your people to the power of intercession. .
Amen, SisterK

2nd Sunday of Great Lent: St Gregory Palamas

Re: “Your perfect light”—: St Gregory Palamas and his fellow hesychasts (practitioners of inner prayer) experienced the uncreated light of God by silently and repeatedly praying “Lord Jesus Christ Son of God have mercy on me a sinner”! St. Gregory taught laypeople as well as monastics, so this is for us. too.
Troparion
O luminary of Orthodoxy, support and teacher of the Church, / ideal of monks and invincible champion of theologians, / O wonderworker Gregory, boast of Thessalonika and herald of grace, / always intercede for all of us that our souls may be saved.
Kontakion
Holy and divine instrument of wisdom, / radiant and harmonious trumpet of theology, / we praise you in song, O divinely-speaking Gregory. / As a mind standing before the Primal Mind, guide our minds to Him, Father, / so that we may cry aloud to you: “Rejoice, herald of grace.”
Have mercy upon us, O God, According to Your lovingkindness; According to the multitude of Your tender mercies, Blot out our transgressions. 2 Wash our nation thoroughly from our iniquities, And cleanse us from our sins.
3 Help us to acknowledge our transgressions, For our sin is always before us. 4 Against You, You only, have we sinned, And done this evil in Your sight— That You may be found just when You speak, And blameless when You judge.
Lord God, please remove the blinders from our eyes and show us how we can love You more dearly and follow You with greater intention and commitment. In the Precious Name of Jesus, Amen.
Psalm 91
1 You who live in the shelter of the Most High,
who abide in the shadow of the Almighty,*
2 will say to the Lord, ‘My refuge and my fortress;
my God, in whom I trust.’
3 For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler
and from the deadly pestilence;
4 he will cover you with his pinions,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness is a shield and buckler.
5 You will not fear the terror of the night,
or the arrow that flies by day,
6 or the pestilence that stalks in darkness,
or the destruction that wastes at noonday.
7 A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
8 You will only look with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.
9 Because you have made the Lord your refuge,*
the Most High your dwelling-place,
10 no evil shall befall you,
no scourge come near your tent.
11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways.
12 On their hands they will bear you up,
so that you will not dash your foot against a stone.
13 You will tread on the lion and the adder,
the young lion and the serpent you will trample under foot.
14 Those who love me, I will deliver;
I will protect those who know my name.
15 When they call to me, I will answer them;
I will be with them in trouble,
I will rescue them and honour them
Amen. You have verbalized the cry of our hearts for the Spirit of Truth to be poured out accompanied by the spirit of Wisdom and Understanding. Thank you.
Amen. Yes. Create in us clean hearts and let it begin with Your people.
