this is a video of a Jewish man who had lived his life going to the synagogue, and he said that as he read several verses, he came to the conclusion that Jesus indeed is the Messiah. I like this video because it’s short, but it’s also very powerful. In fact, if you were ever talking to a Jewish person, you might want to bring these Old Testament verses up to them. It’s exceptionally powerful when he talks about the temple being destroyed and the Messiah being cut off before that because that happened in AD70

The author of this article told me he had a professor at Hebrew University that stated that he believed there would be a reformation within Judaism when they were able to read their own scriptures in their own (modern) Hebrew text. He said many would then understand why Christians have concluded that Jesus was the Messiah based on the Old Testament scriptures alone. I guess we’ll see.

The references to the KJV is where the problem raises. I hope this man reads a true Bible, not one that carefully excludes the proof from Jesus’s own words that the church he founded and no other church ,is the one true church which is the Catholic Church. If not he will be as lost as our Protestantsisters and brothers who try but cannot explain away upon this rock I will build my Church or whatever you hold bound on earth will be bound in heaven and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.
Now have at it, attack the one true church and call her name but the bottom line is the Catholic Church was founded by Jesus Christ himself and all other Churches were started by men.

And Jesus did not found the church and leave. He is building the church with the Holy Spirit.
The church is his chosen people, not an institution. There are some jews there, some gentiles, some others. ALL UNITED IN ONE THING. A deep understanding of who Jesus is, what he did. They are his church.
God is living, he is not far away.
You keep claiming the “church” as your authority rather than the God who created the church. Think about it.
When you get to heaven are you going to claim, “I’m RC, let me in.” I am not going to claim I am P, I am going to fall on my knees, say, “I bring nothing to the table, only you Jesus.”
Jesus came to divide the world. Jesus came to unite the world. The point of division and unification us understanding who Jesus is.

I liken the “one true church” to the garden of Eden. God set these up and left them to man who brought sin to them.
Jesus would be horrified at the wealth and political intrigue of the Vatican and the idea that this non hereditary monarchy claims his mantle on earth. It would remind him of the Pharisees in Sanhedrin that he fought against.
I think very quickly he would realize the Roman Empire took on a new form. He would smile on the orthodox, and protestants. Nothing would please him more than a small non-affiliated Baptist Church or small numbers of worshipers gathered in his name.
There are plenty of those worthless, mega churches that preach the prosperity gospel, and all that nonsense.So we Protestants aren’t blameless

As I read and study God’s Word, Almost all of the NT is a direct quotation of the OT, a paraphrase of the OT, or a revealing of the OT.
All the early church had to test the situation was the OT and the Holy Spirit. Jesus left both for us to chew on.
The New Covenant is a direct relationship with God thru His Word and Holy Spirit.
The temple was destroyed (we are the new temple), the final real sacrifice was made, the priestly and prophet system was changed (we are all called to be priests and prophets), AND THE CURTAIN WAS TORN.
I repeat, the New Covenant is a direct relationship with God. Are you born again, are you baptized in the Spirit? Do you have a relationship with God the Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit?

As I say this, I admonish myself. We need to watch how we say things, pointing to the truth. We are not followers of Luther, we follow what he pointed to. He got a lot of things right when tested with God’s Word.
