Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he has redeemed from trouble and gathered in from the lands, from the east and from the west, from the north and from the south.
Some wandered in desert wastes, finding no way to a city to dwell in; hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted within them. Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress. He led them by a straight way till they reached a city to dwell in.
Let them thank the Lord for his steadfast love, for his wondrous works to the children of man! For he satisfies the longing soul, and the hungry soul he fills with good things.

Father, We give You thanks today for all the blessings You've given us. We live in the freest, most prosperous country this world has ever seen, mostly in safety and abundant provision for food, medical care, shelter, clothing, etc. That is a great blessing in spite of the difficulties we are facing as a people and as a nation.
We pray Lord, that as Thanksgiving and Christmas are racing up on us, that we would keep in the forefront of our minds the real point of both holidays. Let us take advantage of the opportunities they provide to point people to You.
Please, touch the hearts of unbelievers and open their eyes to see the true meaning of both these days and bring them to a saving knowledge of You. We know it's Your will that all come to a knowledge of You and that You take no pleasure in the death of the wicked. So stir in their hearts a desire to know You.
Please move those in the government to openly and freely acknowledge You. Bring to salvation those in office who don't know You yet.
Please keep our military and first responders and their families safe in the midst of all the threats and attempts to harm them.
And we thank You for how you're going to work all that out.
In Jesus' name.

Psalm 91
1 You who live in the shelter of the Most High,
who abide in the shadow of the Almighty,*
2 will say to the Lord, ‘My refuge and my fortress;
my God, in whom I trust.’
3 For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler
and from the deadly pestilence;
4 he will cover you with his pinions,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness is a shield and buckler.
5 You will not fear the terror of the night,
or the arrow that flies by day,
6 or the pestilence that stalks in darkness,
or the destruction that wastes at noonday.
7 A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
8 You will only look with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.
9 Because you have made the Lord your refuge,*
the Most High your dwelling-place,
10 no evil shall befall you,
no scourge come near your tent.
11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways.
12 On their hands they will bear you up,
so that you will not dash your foot against a stone.
13 You will tread on the lion and the adder,
the young lion and the serpent you will trample under foot.
14 Those who love me, I will deliver;
I will protect those who know my name.
15 When they call to me, I will answer them;
I will be with them in trouble,
I will rescue them and honour them.
16 With long life I will satisfy them,
and show them my salvation.
We pray Lord, that as Thanksgiving and Christmas are racing up on us, that we would keep in the forefront of our minds the real point of both holidays. Let us take advantage of the opportunities they provide to point people to You.
Amen to your Beautiful, Powerful Prayer, Dear Servant of our King.
Joining you in Thanksgiving, Prayer, and Praise.
