A youth pastor in Germany has drawn fierce criticism after blessing the union of four men to each other at a pubic wedding event, insisting that the LGBTQ polucule were now “married before God.”
Lena Müller initially posted the picture earlier this month in a since-deleted Instagram post, writing, “On Friday evening, I was allowed to celebrate my first poly wedding.”
Müller and her church are part of the Evangelical Church Berlin-Brandenburg-Silesian Upper Lusatia (EKBO), a progressive denomination with a membership of 880,000 and nearly 1800 churches,
Each year they hold a Pop-up Wedding Festival in Berlin where people can come without pre-registration to get married- with everything already taken care of, including pastors to officiate, music, and a decorated venue.
In an interview with Neue Osnabrücker Zeitung newspaper, following some blowback for her role, Müller explained that she didn’t see a problem what the big fuss was about.
This year, we actually celebrated the festival as a “Pride Edition,” specifically aimed at queer people. In our regional church, same-sex marriages have been possible since 2016, but that hasn’t fully sunk in for many yet. And then, on that evening, we suddenly had a poly constellation in front of us—four young men who wanted a blessing for their relationship. You could immediately see that there was a lot of love between them. So the team quickly agreed: What could God have against it being four instead of two?
We couldn’t enter the wedding in the church register because a civil marriage must have taken place beforehand, which wouldn’t be possible in this constellation. But I am absolutely convinced that they truly got married before God. They also received a beautiful certificate. And they chose a wedding verse from the Bible, from 1 Corinthians: “Love never ends.”
When it was pointed out that the Evangelical Church in Germany still teaches monogamy, Müller doesn’t think of her denomination’s position on it, nor the Bible’s perspective.
“That’s a theological question where we’re just at the beginning of a journey. We can’t discuss it over the heads of people who live polyamorously or polysexually, but only in dialogue with them. I don’t have final answers myself yet.
Churches should advocate for relationships and actions that people live out not to harm their fellow human beings or fellow creatures. That’s what I see as our task. But when people make decisions on equal terms, autonomously and consensually, then I don’t see it as my job as a pastor to tell people what they should do in their bedroom.”
She later revealed that she did not get in any trouble for overseeing the event, and that her church leaders approved.
There was blessing, and blessing belonged there. I really felt it, and I stand fully behind it…You could see immediately that there was a lot of love between them. That’s why the team quickly agreed: ‘What should God have against the fact that there are now four and not two?'”
Pictures on link...barf alert
You could try cracking open a Bible and find the answers on issues such as this in relatively short order...
From the looks of her I don’t think she’s ever read a bible.
Oh my goodness.
If this is not getting back to the times of Noah I don’t know what could be.
The first line of the article....”pubic” wedding event?
Appropriate typo on their part.
Correct.
Yeah .... it's a for-real circle jerk.
That once traditional marriage was no longer The Norm, the door would open for any and every sort of deviancy.
I grew up in a church that had women pastors. As an adult raising kids had a great church with a wonderful woman pastor. Know several great women pastors. The conservative church we belong to now does not allow women pastors. I learned and listened but still wasn’t convinced.
Then our pastor either quoted Scripture or reasoned it out, how the head of the church is just like the head of the family - a man. And fulfills the natural order that God has prescribed to avoid confusion. (Or something like that).
Being directly affected by the trans-cult, that reasoning was the clincher, to avoid confusion.
The former churches that I have belonged to that had women pastors now either quietly accept, or loudly proclaim the ordination of homosexuals and transgenders.
The protestant church I grew up in would have allowed female pastors if there were any but a male pastor still had to be over her and in charge.

Romans 1:24-28
King James Version
24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of
their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
26 FOR THIS CAUSE God gave them up unto vile affections:
FOR EVEN THEIR WOMEN DID CHANGE THE NATURAL USE
INTO THAT WHICH IS AGAINST NATURE:
27 AND LIKEWISE ALSO THE MEN, LEAVING THE NATURAL USE
OF THE WOMAN, BURNED IN THEIR LUST ONE TOWARD ANOTHER;
MEN WITH MEN WORKING THAT WHICH IS UNSEEMLY, AND RECEIVING
IN THEMSELVES THAT RECOMPENCE OF THEIR ERROR WHICH WAS MEET.
28 And even as they did not like to retain God
in their knowledge, God gave them over to a REPROBATE MIND,
to do those things which are not convenient;

2nd Peter 2:6-9
New King James Version
6 AND TURNING THE CITIES OF SODOM AND GOMORRAH INTO ASHES, condemned them to destruction, MAKING THEM AN EXAMPLE to those who afterward would live ungodly;
7 and delivered righteous Lot, who was OPPRESSED BY THE FILTHY CONDUCT OF THE WICKED
8 (for that righteous man, dwelling among them, TORMENTED HIS RIGHTEOUS SOUL from day to day BY SEEING AND HEARING THEIR LAWLESS DEEDS)—
9 then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations and to reserve the unjust under punishment for the Day of Judgment,

So; there are no bibles in the church building?
bingo
Discovery: Hilkiah the high priest found the Book of the Law (likely Deuteronomy) during Temple repairs (2 Kings 22:8).
Reaction: When Shaphan the scribe read it to King Josiah, the king tore his garments in sorrow, a sign of repentance.
Inquiry: Josiah sent messengers to consult the prophetess Huldah, who confirmed God’s judgment but promised mercy because Josiah humbled himself.
Reforms:
Josiah destroyed idols and shrines throughout Judah.
He reinstated proper worship in the Temple.
He led the nation in celebrating Passover, something neglected for generation
