I think if Luther had seen this video, it's entirely possible that he might have kept his 99 problems with the Catholic church to himself.

The Christian tradition is both a challenge and a resource when it comes to addressing sexism. And, let me tell ya, it's been a big challenge ... biblical texts say things about women and girls that we now recognize as harmful.
The Bible says things that are "harmful" to women?

Here are some of the verses the ELCA has highlighted as "harmful" to women.
The first example given is Genesis 3:16:
To the woman He said, 'I will greatly multiply Your pain in childbirth, In pain you will bring forth children; Yet your desire will be for your husband, And he will rule over you.'
These are the words of God, describing the curse of the fall on the woman. What Adam and Eve incurred in the curse is apparently "harmful" to women.
The ELCA also objects to Exodus 20:17, AKA the 10th Commandment (presumably because the neighbor's wife and female servant are given as examples of what you are not allowed to covet.)
Then there's an entire passage in Corinthians beginning with this:
But I want you to understand that Christ is the head of every man, and the man is the head of a woman, and God is the head of Christ.
The Bible says man should submit to Christ in the same way Christ submits to the Father, then says wives should submit to husbands in the same way, as a model of sacrificial love that reflects God's design for the world, His love for us, and the relationship of the Trinity.
So to sum up, the ELCA takes pretty much every pastoral text on men and women and rejects them in favor of feminism and communism.
Give yourselves a hand, Lutherans. This may be the most creative use of "Did God really say?" since the serpent in the garden.
Paul was talking to her when he wrote 1 Corinthians 14:
34 the women should keep silent in the churches. For they are not permitted to speak, but should be in submission, as the Law also says. 35 If there is anything they desire to learn, let them ask their husbands at home. For it is shameful for a woman to speak in church.
While I don’t believe that, I state it any time a woman wants to argue about the Bible. 😁

This is what happens when you have no Magisterium and everybody is free to interpret the bible as it pleases themselves. There is only one Church founded by Jesus Christ Himself and that is the Roman Catholic Church.
His Church wrote the bible and He left its interpretation up to the elders of His Church.
There are more than 40,000 Christian denominations in America alone and each one claims to be the “true bible Church.” Only one Church has the truth.

If not, why not?
In any event, I don't see the problem. The ELCA could simply chop out those passages from the Bible - and use the results to feed a player piano!
