Father, as I ponder Charlie’s death and ask “why?”, I’m reminded of Job. When he learned of the death of his children, he said, “The Lord gives, the Lord takes away, blessed be the name of the Lord.” From this, I learn that in every situation in life, we are to praise You.
That is not easy to do when in so much pain, but I will lift my heart and my hands in praise to You.
May Your great Name be blessed forever and to all eternity.
I bless You. I praise You. I glorify You. I exalt You.
Honored, magnified, and lauded be the Name of the Holy One.
May You Who makes peace in Your high places make peace upon us and upon all who mourn.
We are comforted in knowing that he believed in You and Your son Yeshua, our Messiah. He lived his life to take the message of Your Kingdom to the young people in colleges and universities. He taught by example how to disagree and debate with calmness and clarity. I believe his legacy will be like that of Martin Luther King, whose teachings are still influenceing people to this day. Charlie is already doing that as people look for and listen to his messages through podcasts and videos.
We thank You that the assassin has been found. He was a troubled soul, tormented by demonic forces. Like so many young people today, he rejected Truth. I pray he will bow to Your Word, Your Will, and Your Ways.
Father, the demons of hell are working hard to steal, kill, and destroy during these last days. Yeshua told us we would be persecuted for standing on His Truth. Help us to follow Charlie’s example of courage and commitment to take the Truth to those around us. We know that Your Truth brings Light. We pray for guidance in carrying that message and for a revival of holiness and obedience in America and the world.
Father, may this be a Turning Point – of turning back to You and Your commandments. Thank You for preserving Your Word for us for thousands of years. May we be faithful to follow Your laws and share them with others. In the coming days, we will celebrate Rosh Hashanah and begin the Ten Days of Awe - A time of soul-searching, repentance, and renewal. Guide us. Speak to us. Use us, I pray.
On this Shabbat, may You be blessed by our obedience to Your command to observe the seventh day. Help us to turn away from the world and keep our minds stayed on You. Refresh and renew us as we enjoy the stillness and Your tender voice.
I lift these prayers in the Name of Yeshua, my Savior, and Messiah, and I believe. Amain.

Lord, fortify us in You. Let us not neglect our calling, to extend Your light, Your love and Your truth.
Help us to pray for our persecutors, that they may find You before they are utterly destroyed.
